Not sure how to put this really but In real life when a bullet hits a surface it creates debre and smoke, adding this to PR would make firefights more realistic and gritty!

is it posible simply just make more vissible smoke on impact, this would also increase the supression effect. or debre effect like when a bridge is blow but on a smaller scale

Also with the insendary grenades i see them being thrown from a fair distance onto firebase ect, maybe to increase teamwork make them only attachable to the ground like a delayed mine and take a few nades to take a FB down.

I don't know much about the smoke or what not, but incendary grenades are just that -- grenades. They're suppose to be thrown.

Don't know about smoke idea. If its possible then it should be tested very cearfully. To avoid aditing to much smoke effect.

Actualy I like the attachable insendary grenades idea.
Attaching insendary grenades to FOB making more sence the just srowing them over fence in hope of hiting some deployed asset.

PR already has cool decals and smoke when bullets hit surfaces which I like, but I know what you mean, more more more! It would be more realistic to increase this effect, like have bigger smoke puffs which stay around for longer, and adding a few random lumps of debris which fall to the ground. The only question is HOW MUCH it should be increased. I think the main reason it shouldn't be increased too much is so that peoples' computers don't slow down, but it should definately be increased a significant amount, it would be more realistic.

Also if possible these effects should be increased even more with high calibre ammo than with normal rifles. Tank shells etc should create a massive amount of dust and debris. The effects in game already are cool though, better than most games, but more more more! rofl

-I would just like to note that Incendiary Grenades should not be taken literally as IRL there aren't firebase structures where soldiers spawn and where the destruction of said building disrupts the enemy's ability to reinforce. The IGs should be seen more as a way to symbolize a soldier's ability to dismantle enemy strongpoints, and as such the idea of making IGs non-throwable is an entirely valid suggestion, and one that I support(Or its replacement with something more "realistic" to usurp its function).

Agree, it would prevent stupid use against vehicles too.

I dunno about you, but bullets kick up plenty of dirt atm.

would be cool but there already is enough effects

it will also cause massive lag when being suppressed

Yeah was gonna say, they already do...

Plus the sound of bullet impacts has been tweaked for 0.86 which should help further, from the changelog:
- increased audible distance of bullet impacts.
This should help increase the suppression effect as people will be ducking for cover soon as a bullet flies past. Its more the sound of bullets passing and hitting that creates suppression than the visual aspect of it.

I think rather than increase the size of the 'dirt cloud' on impact (which is fine at the moment), the distance at which they can be seen should be increased. Irl at the shooting range you can see splashes in the sand bank from over 1000 yards.

inciendary could act the same as c4, it sticks to things and cannot be thrown very far.

watch 5.45

Maybe make the smoke less thick but bigger?

as you could see from the video also the smoke cloud produced from a helicopter makes visibility almost impossible

i agree. tank shells and apc or gunship HEAT rounds should make as much smoke as a smoke grenade (but make it dissapear sooner for gameplay reasons). so if a Bradley IFV shoots ten 25mm HEAT rounds there should be a wall of smoke as IRL.
