Vanilla map... why?

Just wonderng why a lot of servers are still running vanilla maps? After all this time waiting, .3 shows up with all these great new maps, and people still want to play stupid vanilla maps. I don't get it?

Its up to the server admins. I'd love to see an Asian-map only server, since those are my favorite.

Vanilla maps are good for the gameplay of PR IMHO. I'm sure with the release of more maps in .4 vBF2 maps will eventually get faised out, I actually still like to play vBF2 maps with PR. I guess its just personal opinion.

Actualy some of them are really bad, dillian plant (however its spelt) should have never been released with 0.3

All the maps are asian. O.o
I really like most of the default maps, I don't see why they'd be excluded. I love the new maps, but I like a little variety. I'm not one to vote yes for map changes and I'm not one to start one. Extraction and the new maps will come on rotation when the current map's done. Besides, it doesn't take too long just to quit the server and join a server playing your favourite map. There are over 70 servers around now, at least one of them must be playing the map you want.

the stock maps ate better quility than say "oasis" and have diffrent types of gameplay with them.

personally, i love gulf of oman and mashtuur and sharqi. and karkand, i just never get bored with those maps. but i like seeing the new maps as well. though when i see a vanilla map, i want to see one of the new modes.

The main reason: Most of the new maps aren`t supported by the ABR system yet...
As soon as ABR supports the whole 0.3 Map-rotation, we will run 100% PRMM maps for sure!

when will people learn to play the game for fun and not for "stats". Look at what EA has done....

Technically Asian, but not really.
Anyway, I would REALLY like to see Wake Island 2007 fixed to work with AAS so it can be put on rotation. That map would RULE in PR.

As I said, I don't see much point in throwing away the old maps. The more the merrier! The best bit about the old maps is none of them give me video lag, a feature most map makers don't seem to bear in mind. I must say, my taste of the original maps has changed. I used to love Karkand, but now it's one of the few original maps played on PRMM 0.3 I've started craving others such as Songhua Stalemate.

From what I've observed, Americans are more likely to call far eastern stuff "Asian" and us Brits tend to call middle eastern stuff "Asian" but really, it's all Asian and all the eastern features take place in Asia. It's not Europe, and you can hardly call it Africa.

songhua should have been in .3
also do you get lag on muttrah?

Last time I checked, I don't think so. Surprisingly, the built up alleyways seemed to have no effect on me, which was good, but I'm not sure which size I was playing on. Don't worry, you weren't one of the map makers I was thinking of.

Rhino, ABR is not necessarrily, but I really love seeing my stats ranked, although my stats are quite shitty^^
