atleast its not like EA where a day = a span of several months

Haha, yeah I know, I thought it would be out the same or next day when I saw that sign. The Devs really know how to build suspense and anticipation! Im going to Spain on the 22nd and if you release it before that I will give a small donation in the range of 2 beers to Fuzzhead or a chewing gum each if you go the communist way and share it. Hows that for a cookie?

I am happy to wait patiently one of the many reasons I stopped with VBF was the awful support and patches.

Leave the poor guys alone, they have had enough delays added trying to see if they should wait for the BF 1.5 patch or not.

If I was responsable for this patch I would wait until 1.5 was out first, but the Devs have decided to wait no longer and are therefor obliged to work fast to bring out a second patch that will be surely needed after 1.5 comes out!

Keep up the good work DEV's I for one am happy with the patches and the way you pay sooo much attention to the players!

UPDATE

Just to update everyone with the status of the release. The Patch is pretty much ready to go out, and we are now awaiting the release of the BF2 1.5 Patch to ensure it will run with no errors. We have been testing the 1.5 Beta with our Patch, and things look good.

To that end we hope to release a few days after the BF2 1.5 Patch.

This man lies. Nothing is ever broken in PR. Things may become Temporarily Functioning In An Unexpected Manner, but the Dev team have never broken anything. 0.86 is still set for release shortly.

Im really looking forward to using the new LMG's, Im salivating at the prospect of having that amount of power completely at my disposal yet with the precision to really apply it to great effect. finally people will respect the support kit.

We are still trying to finalise a few last minute details before we can go ahead and release, we ask you to be patient in the mean time. That said, 0.86 is still imminent .

yes the devs never break anything, its us testers that do it for them

Anyway, have patience guys, it will be worth the wait

I look at it in the sense that the game is just fine as it is. It's just that it's going to become even better. So it's no big deal to me.

And as someone who's only been playing for a few months, there are so many aspects of the game to explore. If you are getting tired of the game as it is, do something you don't normally do and try to master it. Like: flying jets/choppers, SLing, Commanding, learning the grenadier, medic, sniper, HAT, etc kit. Go insurgent and practice setting IED ambushes. Be a civilian and run around helping people. Jump in someone's LB with a stinger, like in a thread I saw today, and shoot down other choppers (or jets).
