Mini gun for little bird!

i think there really needs to be a mini gun on the little bird controlled by the pilot. it would make for some good x-traction mode but since this would give the little bird a huge increase in popularity and firepower the glass should be weaker so SNIPER bullets :camper: can pass through and reduced armor. :firing:

The AH-60 which is the attack version of the little bird is coming and will be armed with miniguns and rockets.

Presume you mean the AH-6, that is the armoured LB. Which can be armed with :

The miniguns are capable of firing 33 rounds/s. A 30 mm chain gun can be fired at rates of up to 750 rounds per minute. It can probably be configured with other armament too depending on its missions.
The AH-60 is the Black Hawk with rocket pods.

I hope the minis spew out with a little wider area of effect or have some sort of minor splash damage otherwise it would be really hard to hit a target.

same here - the things are awesome, as long as they arent used like in BF42 DC on Bocage, where the US would have guys fly high with the guns pointed down and just chaingun spam the hell outta the Iraqi base...

after seeing LB pilots (myself being one) get sniped and shot and killed by all sorts of small arm fire and countless AT rounds, I don't think AH-6 whoring will be TOO much of a problem ;)

The Little Bird is tremendously weak at the moment, I really don't see the inclusion of miniguns as being a major threat. I had a Little Bird fly right past me once, so I pulled up my AK-101, fired some rounds at it and killed all 4 passengers. I was amazed how simple it was, I only intended to weaken it hopefully making it an easier target but I totally annihilated it without even trying.

now it has bullietproof glass, if the pilot is above avarage then i think it could be a huge prob....

How about giving the weapons to the coopilot? Current his only purpose is a meat shield, having no real effect on the operation of the vehicle.

I'm not sure if the actual Little Bird miniguns are moveable, but giving the coopilot a small control over the direction of weapons could be an idea. There's no real threat of them becoming a problem, anyone who's ever flown one knows that the biggest cause of death in one of those things is being shot. They have no real resistance to any weapon, a minigun will just help them defend themselves a bit.

Yuo can not have a littlebird that can both carry passengers and have mini guns! SO really the present mini bird is all transport and i like it that way.

It is more of a flying humvee, not a troop carrier due to ability to only carry 6 (can never be cahnged to 7, unlike Black hawk).

If their anything like the BH's guns I'll be happy, from little knowledge I have the AH-6 is used in a minor offensive roles sometimes anyway.

Besides that does it bother anyone else that whenever the pilot twirls or turns sharply none of the soldiers sitting on the side DON'T fall off?

Passenger1: RPG!
Passenger2: Take evasive action!
Pilot: Roger that!
Twists and turns performing loop de loops, the RPG narrowly misses
Pilot: Phew that was close huh guys
Passenger3:!!!!
Passenger 3 is looking straight down with his mouth wide open
Pilot: Hey where'd the other two go?
Pilot looks down
Pilot: ....uh-oh

Edit: To stop Rhino's nitpicking lol

Oh dear, the devs totally didn't bear this in mind. I suppose they should totally remove all their work to incorporate light choppers from the game?

Going on the idea that it's a flying humvee, surely it should have a flying .50 calibre? Oh wait, it looks like they're doing that!

And besides, Armoured Fury are incorporating the very same model, if it's good enough for them it's good enough for us right?

the littlebird can not get locked onto thou as its engines are to cold to get a heat signature.
