Shotgun reloading bug still exists

Reloading an empty shotgun when you have just a few shells left shows animation of loading multiple shells.
To reproduce:
1. Shoot a single shell and reload until you have only one spare shell left.
2. Shoot all the shells until the shotgun is empty.
3. Reload; the animation will display reloading 8 shells.
This only affects the animation; the shotgun still contains the correct number of shells.
This is a bug I reported in 0.8, but it still persists on 0.85 and 0.86.
