I agree, The populated Kashan training maps are shit, they are full of idiots blowing up runways, yes u can practise your bombing but nothing prepares you for air to air combat. No one plays quinling training so its pointless. I recently found UKWF have a training map, its a Kashan map but normal deployment layout. Only difference is that there is loads of jets. Try that one with friends for some Air to Air

agreed with that, would be a good thing. Only Air vs Air Assets. You could finally train some Good Dogfight.

Why would people play a version of kashan with jets on both teams, but not quinling?

What is it about quinling that pilots don't like? I'm just curious.

Lol, exagerate much?

Except:
- Playing Quinling training
- Having mock dogfights with friendlies
- Playing other games with dogfighting (DC/vBF2 etc..)

Does it have a password?

Just thinking about the server license policy towards custom servers.

Well I'd guess:
- View distance
- Trees (perfect cover for AA)
- The runways/taxiways

Problem: No one would ever play the regular PR, and everyone would play on these training servers.

Well essentially it'd be an arcade mode of PR, which is kind of the opposite of what the devs have been working towards.

If they had no problem with arcade/custom PR modes they probably wouldn't have introduced restricted server licenses.

The fact that Quinling training exists the way it is does cause inconsistency and uncertainty in that regard though.

I doubt that everyone would stop playing regular PR because arcade "training" mode is available, but a significant amount probably would.

1. Its often hard to see your own HUD on Quinling.
2. I believe the view distance is superior on Kashan.
3. Ground forces seem far more willing to help with aspects such as spotting on Kashan.
4. The terrain is more forgiving in air-ground attacks on Kashan.
5. Kashan has the infamous A-10warthog, Quinling has the unrefined Tornado.
6. The Tornado requires two people, has a less diverse payload; requires the pilot to really put time into learning how to land it; requires pilot AND gunner that know how to perform a successful strike in unison.
7. Clouds on Kashan give pilots better orientation and a sense of motion.
8. Kashan's light-maps are not a literal eyesore from the sky.

I think the list could probably go on.

...mongol...
