As title says, I propose that in the future PR should get some maps with MEC vs. Taliban/Iraqi Insurgents scenarios, due actual real life events and to break the cliche of the US/UK being the blufor all the time.

The MEC would represent the Iraqi army and the Pakistani army fighting the insurgencies in their respective countries and with not actually being called Iraqi/Pakistani army, it would give space for some scenario flexibility.

It would be perhaps a good idea to clone some of the existing 'team2' vehicles (for instance the Pakistanis use the Super Cobra, although an outdated version), Humvees as 'US support' for the Iraq scenarios could also work, there would be some placeholders for a few assets, but in overall I think all the vehicles and weapons needed are already in PR.

I agree, although I think there is a team 1 vs team 2 limitation that should be easy to overcome by just adding a copy faction to the other team number. More opponents for Insurgency would be appreciated since people tend to pick US because they are US. Those people wouldn't stack teams on a round of MEC vs Insurgency or MEC vs Taliban.

ie MEC is always team 2, they would need to copy a MECblufor for team 1.

its very possible it really just needs a map for it first.

That sounds like an interesting idea, and a plausible scenario. It'd add some spice to Insurgency, and both sides would speak "MEC" to keep people guessing.

About the team 1 and team 2 problem, I thought that team 1 and 2 stuff was proved to be a myth by the devs.

Um no. That was fixed ages ago, no team cloning needed.
I even made a small map just to test it out.

It's not quite a myth, since in the past it was a problem with our python coding but since then we changed our python so that it was no longer an issue for the future so now its very possible to make team 1 vs team 1 maps.

I would love to see the "real" MEC fight against Talibans with their BMP-3's and Havocs. Heres a scenario: after the US took heavy losses fighting against MEC and China, US Military pulled out the majority of its troops from Afghanistan, leaving ANA and ISAF fight against Talibans. MEC had their own interest in Afghanistan. Few months later MEC occuppied the Eastern part of Afghanistan. Talibans did not welcome MEC as allies, but as enemies.

most ppl when they see anything think its what is being made or w/e, hence why we dont show any of our tests unless the tests work out and we are 100% sure its what we are going to do

lol, and wow, a minimap of karkand that dose not have 90% of the statics missing off it, shame the terrain is only the colour texture and dose not have any detail

It has always amazed me how DICE can not be asked to make proper minimaps even thou I have put detailed tuts up on how to do it, and still there maps after that have ignored them

hehe, well ehhh the reason most likley why is because its not really likely to have both China and the MEC fighting NATO and each other from a stratigic point of view, since in in WW2, Churchill etc hated Russia, Communism and Stalin etc but still allied up with them and provided them with supplies and weapons to fight the common enemy, same would be true in PR's scenario but ye, its all fiction so it could happen.

Make a map for it and it might be included into PR

I always wanted a community match that changed Kashan to US Army vs British Army. Would be pretty sweet for a one time event.

Just a small idea for a small map possibly community made, but how about Pakistani Police??

They would be interesting to use on like a skirmish town map. I realise this is just more work for not really much reason, but i personally think that it would be interesting.

That would be pretty sweet for a community match. M1A1 vs Challenger.

MEC against Taliban sounds pretty damn sweet. Finally a use for those MEC specialist shotguns if there is going to be a map with doors.
