If I have my BF2.exe patched to use 4GB of mem, does the new 86 PR.exe use it, or does it go back to 2GB of mem?

Just wondering my game was running perfect after I patched my BF2.exe, now that 86 came out I notice more lag, rubber banding stuttering.

I hope I'm not hijacking your thread, but I noticed some of the BF2.exe command line options don't work with pr.exe. Some I'm used to using but no longer can are "+playerName", "+password", "+joinServer".

Am I missing something? Is there a workaround?

Playername and password do work fine for me. I think all you need to do is to add these commands to your PR.exe shortcut, not to the PR.exe itself.

I think its the +JoinServer witch doesn't work. Someone else reported same while ago. Playername and password works, I am using them

+joinServer/+port has been fixed for the next version, I guess you'll just have to put up with it for this current version unfortunately, nothing much can be done .

To answer the OP's question, pr.exe just does a few things then runs bf2.exe. So, patching bf2.exe to use more than the default 2GB of ram won't be affected by pr.exe, it will function as you expect, by allowing more ram to be used .

How od you do this patch for the BF2.exe to make it use all of your RAM? I have 4gb, but all this time its only been using 2gb??

i tried the patched one but always got MD5 Mismatch error...on the other hand the 3.5Gigs XP32 is using are enough...
