Just an idea for the LMG

I like the new improved LMG, however, its not too fun to be on the recieving end. Alot of people have been complaining about this weapon and so I have a suggestion.
The LMG you can select from the squad menu only comes equiped with Ironsights, to get a scoped LMG you have to go to a crate.
So whilst this still allows squads to have the lmg, it controls the numbers of mass scoped lmg spam. Those who really want the scoped version have to go to a crate

This wont work as every one will just go to a crate and on the ranges that the lmg is used ist is very accurate, i was playing kashan last nite and had the lmg with scope,i was shooting form the hills near US main to north village and it was accurate but still bullet spray around the target. so the lmg is accurate but only to real world standards

If it's a squad verse squad battle, both squads should have it...thus meaning one of the the better LMB gunner will win (as in, if you keep 5/6 of their player's heads down, chances are, one of your man could pick off the LMG, or the two LMG's would go at it and whoever wins....).
It's fine as it is, except on Insurgency.

sometimes im also pissed off it but i think without scopes, i would miss de james-ryan and band-of-brothers-like scenes when my squad passes a road , gets pinned down by a mg on the hill and has to jump in cover ina ridge or something.

OMG! this suggestion is actually good!
I like it! Anything making supply runs move important = good imo.

Forgot about that :/
Anything that increases logistics (lately, I've been thinking rally points should be taken out, to increase the need for transportation to the front-lines + medic's role more important). Either way, this suggestion is worth a look into, I would say.

LMG's are fine as they are with scopes and are realistic that way the only wrong thing about them is they are way too effective compared to other small arms not just in terms of suppressing the enemy but also killing it. IMO the accuracy should be reduced to the point where other small arms especially the ones with scopes become comparable in terms of killing the enemy.
Or you can make it the other way around by removing deviation from marksman and sniper rifles to make them more effective compared to these new scoped LMG's which mostly replaced them in 0.860.
I always felt that accurate and effective weapons were good for realistic gameplay since receiving accurate fire means you have to be more cautious, move slower and take cover more or you'll get killed easily. Personally I liked gameplay more before deviation was introduced in 0.7 since everyone was aware of weapons being accurate and not many people would run up in the open like many do now since it's quite difficult to hit a moving target with this type of deviation and there's where current LMG's come into play.
In 0.860 I would personally rather trust squad's machine gunner more than a sniper to hit a very distant target and I believe many more do too which isn't exactly good for overall gameplay.

They do make the game more interesting. I love running through the MG fire, and it also in some circumstances helps keep me safe and alive having some one in the squid providing suppression on the enemy. though the MG arn't too good in close in fighting it makes them to vulnerable, and then there’s the risk that the enemy can get your kit,
it makes the game so much more I don’t know Real, you hear the mg fire all the time, it like a real war now it not so dammed quiet any more.
im doing ok when fighting against them but other people are still trying to adapt.

look at 2.39 min.
YouTube - Crazy shooting range
LMGs are much more accurate in a standing position in reality i guess...

Dont like it at all !!!!!!!! Stupid imo.
Dude, you would not have logistics drive around optics for SAW gunners just because they didnt take them when they set up for the fight in the main base...

Its not to be fun on the recieving end of anything that shoots. You should be feared of the LMGs not whine about how strong they are. Its the only way you will take cover in a game. Basta.

i would agree sometimes it's frustrating on the receiving end, however alot of the time it makes things very exciting for me, Zoddom said just like in the movies where 2 of your guys drop everyone scatters for cover, and you're screaming commands and directions at each other trying to figure out where the gunner is, which of you are where, and who can reposition to provide fire. if you've got a fast reaction, and you think quick, it can get really exciting and very VERY satisfying when you take out that gunner and tea bag him for taking out half your squad (lol i don't teabag, but others do, and i can understand that feeling after they shiv the guy) it's a real rush the moments before he dies, while you're wondering whether your hastily constructed plan will work or end up killing all of you.
Paintballers, Airsoft players, and actual troops will understand this feeling. when you're wondering whether your flanking maneuver will end up wining the round or end with you well colored, and covered with welts (multiple neck shots hurt at point blank >_< that's all i hafta say for that one)

Thats just stupid, then i come with a suggestion too.....................When you choose marksman or sniper,it starts with ironsight, then you go and request for scope......................XD Bad idea i think.......
