Add 1 more fighter to kashan and remove their bombs

Allright first thing first ... Yes as you might expect i am a flying whore ;b but you know what i am proud of it !

Any ways back to the suggestion, my idea is to add one more fighter jet on kashan, then remove their ability to throw bombs on targets and focus on their mission which is getting air superiority for the bombers to kick in some Close Air Support.

I got this idea of getting some teamwork in the air, while playing on the UK warfare training server... They are running a 32 version of Kashan Desert Training Map were bouth sides have planes, so you do get some epic dogfights there.

Its allot more fun to cover each others 6 o´clock, and flying in formations. Just imagine aircrafts as infantry, its allot more fun working together for a goal.
ah dammit ! i just realized that i made this thread in the General Discussion ^.-' would be great if some one could move it to the suggestion part thank you wont happen again

I would say yes, but I would also say use Combined Arm's strategy of letting Jets go in to the surrounding terrain without being told off for it. Means the jets have alot more room to play.

I've played in the UK training server and the addition of more fighters does make it more fun. But formations in a 16km2 map wouldn't work too well as you would have to be constantly turning.

If your telling me to try Combined Arm´s i have :p but i would like some more teamwork based assignments for PR.. Its so cool flying in PR becouse have real guys down on the ground not just some bot like in flight simulators

Id honestly have to say no to the removing bombs part. You shoot down all the enemy jets and then you become pretty much useless for 20 minutes and might as well land and go do something else, at least with bombs the jets can still do something.

You dont have to be able to look to your right and see your wingmans face, but just flying around same altitude.

You do realise you have a big mother f***er cannon right ? i am sure your infantry squads would love you using that thing on the bunker area, besides that there will allways be helicopters right ;) ?

And do remember that in most cases taking down 2 jets is one hell of a fight, in most cases takes more than 15 mins :b

What's the point of removing their bombs?

Just to make thing more even or some thing. but if you add a fighter not equipped with bombs use the available space and equip them with some more missiles, or better yet equip them with laser guided Air to ground missiles or rockets even, they are no where near as good as the gaw-8 on the A-10 but they are still ok when dealing with infantry there usually to inaccurate for any thing else then that though.

Ok, although:
- The bombs are pretty harmless to ground forces unless laser guided so I wouldn't be concerned about there being more of them.
- The jets aren't using all their pylons as it is, so not entirely neccesary to remove bombs to equip more missiles.

The best anti infantry/light armour weapon are the AIM 9s and 120s anyway, so without bombs its fine, since seeing the lase you can swithch to AIMs and use their nuclear blast radius. It is very effective. The cannon can be used very effectively vs anything lighter then a tank.

The idea is that there would be no real need for a bomber if u have 2 flying J-Dams, so it would be to give the A-10 or the Su-25 more space to do their job

So the idea is to have less CAS planes and more fighters.
This means we have to change strategies and gameplay in this map.
For what reason? Just to have more dogfights?

I dont think that all grounds troops will admire my wannabeace skills when they are pinned down by an enemy tank.

If your team mates are pinned down by a tank you will have a " Bomber " that will take care of it either its the A-10 or the SU-25 doesnt matter becouse i am not suggesting to take them away.

now when you say that this will change strategies and gameplay i highly doubt it. There is no reason for you a bomber to be in the skies just flying around at 3000 altitude till a fighter gets on his ***.

you are suppost to stay at main with the bomber until the skies are clear or there is a confirmed laser target for you, then you take off and the fighters will escort you to your target and make you sure you get back safe at main

So... by adding dogfights we add strategy...
Not by adding more CAS so it can be more flexible.
Not even by CA mod's approach. In which you have to move as convoy to be protected.
Right know the CAS planes cant fly in formation with the already existed fighters.
No. These methods above dont have strategy.
We have more strategy if we have "epic" dogfights in 4x4Km map.
Interesting approach....

Also by removing bombs you change strategies. A commanding officer takes his decisions by assets available. Not by thinking if the pilot is skilled enough to make precise cannon strafes with a fighter.

And you do realize that those strafing runs in a FIGHTER are very risky if there is aa up. Better to just stay above their limit and drop your 'mini jdams' on lases with them never even knowing you were there.
