I call this 'The Dreaded Wounded Bug' because of its effect. In some cases where I get instantly killed by enemy fire I get totally black sceen like in death, but with 'Wounded' text. When this happens there is nothing I can do, can't give up, can't respawn. I can only wait till the 5 minute give up timer reaches zero and Wounded text changes to Dead. I saw this in .85 too, but now it's ever worse due to increased man down time.

you didn't happen to be commander before this did you? It sems to happen to me after resigning commander 100% of the time, but after the 1st death its ok.

This has happened occaisionally especially around ladders in .85 as well.

Ladders are not your friends to die upon.

I've had this so many times that both commander and ladder theories does not apply. Usually it happens to me when someone shoots and hits me several times in very short time. I can see the normal wounded screen for blink of an eye, but due to constant fire I die immediately after that, leaving buggeg wounded screen on.

yep happend to me a few times, happens most time when u get shot climbing a ladder
