Another Gun bug. Insurgent Shotgun Buckshot does little damage against Infantry even at very close range. I never had successful kill using shotgun. Usually Opponent player walks away even if they got shot square on chest with shotgun twice.

So you aren't talking about the breaching slug? I always have good luck with the shotgun, even at longer ranges. Most people say it is overpowered at range.

That's weird, because I've dropped people at range with the buckshot sure the deviation didn't mean you only clipped them?

I've had the same thing. Full buckshot to the chest at 1 foot does nothing.

Meanwhile, at 20-30 feet, i tked 2 people with one shot (both bleed out).

maybe the buckshot takes 15 feet to arm. I've also come out the loser in a point blank confrontation where i got my round off but died from a shot from my victim (intended).

Odd i will have to test that theory

I have experienced the same thing in 0.86, I had to put 3 rounds in a guys chest (he was officer) at a range of about 2 m before he died. Didn't have this problem at all in 0.85

I blasted the skin of a USMC troop yesterday using the MEC shotty. Its quite awesome. But i was spraying so it wasnt useful to have no bullets left when his buddy came up behind him.

What? MEC doesn't have any shotgun with buckshot or am I totally wrong?

MrScruff can mean two things:

a. He used the single shot door breaching shotgun given to MEC Rifleman Specialists to kill a USMC soldier.

or

b. Accidentally mistook the Insurgents for MEC.

The only "problem" I've had with the buckshot given to Insurgents is the occasional lag spike where everything occurs except the damage on enemy soldiers when they kill me. The animation goes, the sound and even the puff of smoke from firing happen, but the bullets don't take effect, thus I die.

The above may be a lag problem, and may not be fixable by the dev team.

No no,. I knew which team i was on. I was on Muttrah City. They have that awesome auto shotgun. Is it a shotgun problem or just the differences between rounds?

The Saiga-12k fires slug rounds that are mildly effective to 10 metres.
