This thread is supposed to be a recruitment thread for players who do not have a clan but want to sign up in the Golden Squad tournament.

Note: Squad is complete.




While not belonging to players community/group, I still have some interest in taking part in the Golden Squad tournament. If, that is, I find some players to do so.
My interest would be to find some players, age group 30-70, teamwork oriented and already experienced in the game. Old Dogs who know that the others squads may be tough.. but tough ain't enough. So, are there any Leftovers?

While I have experience in squadleading, I do not necessarily have to take that position since I have never played in a 6-6 competitive game. Unfortunatly, the admins have not announced the time and date of the tournament, there is just a registration deadline so far. That makes it difficult for me to sign up on this event, still, I have some hopes that the playing times will have some flexibility.

Will be posting pm's to Sl's, but thought I would put some input here incase people haven't seen...


There are some issues with Skirmish mode it will seem in which it kills players as soon as they spawn if they select certain kits. Of course we cannot have this, and so the sign ups have been extended for a temporary period whilst we work through it.

We hope to run the event sometime half way through July and onwards.

I fit in the age category and I´m interested in some real teamplay. I´m not that much of an old dog when it comes to the game tho, but i consider myself to be quite a tactican.

Hello Raufbold, good to hear from You. "Quite a tactician" absolutely qualifies Your for the job. Let us see who else shows up.

I hope that the entire thing will not happen later than the 20th, since I am going to be on holiday then.

Of course it is OK to play. There is always room for exceptions. I put that age range in order to address the group of people I was interested to play with in the first place, but I see not a single argument why younger players should not fit into the team.

I'm been playing PR since v2.5 and I'm 47 yrs old. Unfortunately, I'm US based and only speak English but in some cases I can make time during my work day.

Update: Taking me and the PMs into account, we have already 5 candidates for the squad.

I'm nowhere near the age group but I've been playing since .5 and know PR quite well, I can do any job you'd like me to if you're interested.

Good to see people doing anything to get into the competition

If anyone needs a pretty decent medic I'm free. Also I could plug in for any basic rifleman position. I'm not great at AR though.

Training Times:

I have no time to play until the beginning of next week. However, I will be availible for training then. We definatly have to sit around a virtual camp fire at least once to discuss some tactics and make some organization. If You want to meet before that, go ahead and do a game without me.
