This would be a way nicer boat instead of the rib if u added two .50 cal mounted machine guns on it one in fron one in back.
------------------------it would have:
*two .50cal machine guns
*room for 5 passengers (not including gunners or drivers) the passengers would be seated inside the canopy.
*since its metal and would have more armor it would be slower than the RIB, but i recomend making RIB faster and this slower
if anyboday could model this for me if they like what they see plaz email the pics to me at

That's a Marine Corps Riverine Assault Craft (RAC). In addition to the forward and aft weapons, it has an M240G on the port and starboard sides. Not sure what's going to happen to them since Small Craft Company was disbanded.

It would be cool to implente this as it would make for some cool river battles. Also Baker your military knowledge or google searching skills are quite good.

Anyone have any comments on wether to add this to make for some more exticing river battles. I know i have seen pics of these on the Tirgis (misspelt) river in Iraq so what about adding it in game.

They have been operating in Iraq along with the USMC's Rigid Raiders (not just used by the UK) and now the Small Unit Riverine Craft (SURC).
(High-res)
However, I don't know if they will be in use for much longer, since the primary unit that operated them, USMC Small Craft Company, has been disbanded, despite doing an excellent job. I had heard of the SURCs operating with one of the Assault Amphibian battalions since the disbanding of Small Craft Company, but the Navy is taking over the job of riverine small craft ops. Not sure if they will be inheriting the RAC and SURC, or using their own craft and Assault Amphibian battalions will still have these assets. Hopefully they won't be sent to the heap.

is that a SURC in that pic cause i want one it looks like it has a Minigun on the front. Plus that landing ramp is actually a good idea. Plus that guy in front is carrying an AK not much cover for the passengers though.

Yes, that's a SURC, and they have used miniguns on them, though I have seen them mostly with two M240Gs on the bow. The guys with the AKs are Iraqi Interior Ministry Commandos operating with the Marines.

Well, I am one of the military advisors, even though I always have been and will be a civilian (at least until the US military starts to draft flat-footed childhood asthmatics for suicide units).
No, there isn't much cover at all; speed is its security. The idea was for them to be escorted by the heavier Riverine Assault Craft. You can also just make out the smoke grenade launchers on the stern for screening.

Ok I thought there was a reason for there not being much cover on them. The health problems suck maybe they will draft you to a HQ job. I personally am planning on joining the Marines to do recon.

They actually haven't been real trouble since I was a kid, but when I tried to enlist, they wouldn't waive the asthma since I reported my last attack at 13. Not sorry about it, though, there's other ways to serve my country and I'd rather be an asset than a liability.
Well, no position to give real advice, but I'll tell you what I see Marines tell everyone else who declares their Recon aspirations: focus on being a good Marine first and then the rest will follow. Good luck!
