Take the Blackhawk off Muttra City

I really think the Blackhawk needs to be taken off of Mutra City. Right now, it is pretty imbalanced and you have the noobs who just stay in the sky and use the miniguns on the Blackhawk. They are out of reach, and it totally descourages teamwork.

Having 2 littlebirds should be enough for them. Giving them the blackhawk makes them totally dominate the map sometimes.

I know exactly what you mean. ;)

Adding AA wouldn't really solve the problem, those poor Little Birds would get annihilated, so it seems fair that the Blackhawk goes bye bye. Maybe add another Little Bird in its place, it was fun shooting down those things everytime we heard one swoop overhead, but the Blackhawk was just too much. We look up and high above us we see it, then it's yellow tracers of doom rip through the sand and anyone who gets in the way...

I would have thought 2 mec with a AT rockets could bring them down easily.
THe Blawk H is not that manouvourable or quick.

You have not played PRMM 0.3. You have not played Muttrah city. Myself, SoldierofFortune and 4 others were constantly ambushed by the circling Little Bird. We tried pretty much everything against it, but it was so high that it was almost impossible to hit it with AT rockets, and in the event we did hit it it would be repaired before our next encounter.

1. there is allready a topic for this: http://realitymod.com/forum/t6023-muttr ... tions.html

2. The blackhawk is only on the 64man version. If you care to take a look there are AA stinger sights dotted round on the 64man version allready and these stinger sights have NO effect on the littlebirds as the missles can not lock onto them as there engines are to cold to get a lock. Also heave you heard of suck thing called the AT kit? a good At guy can easily shoot down the black hawk as its a huge target and moves pretty slow and cant turn very fast. The blackhawk is a death trap if people want to kill it.

I see more clearly the situation. When i have palyed the map, beta versions, many atime, they only had littlebirds, which where easy and fun to shoot down.

Due to the balck hawks flying so high, i can understand that they are far more diffucutl to take down, mabey removing them might be a good idea, OR you could add some AA sites?!?

The problem is they stay way up in the sky and out of reach of the AT rockets. When I was playing on TC, they hardly ever came down to the ground once they figured they could just stay up in the style and rape. There is no point having the blackhawk when the US already has got 2 good maneuarable(sp?) choppers to go through the city. I don't think adding another littlebird would be a good idea either seeing as how they just swoop in somethings and either drop peope on roofs to camp, or magically change the flag from a suicide run.

I have yet to see a blackhawk flying REALLY high in the sky so that the AA cant lock onto them but if they fly that high they wont be able to see the people on the ground.

They sure hit us from that height. I think I also recall seing the AA going right through the BH, but I am not 100% sure on this. But on the 64 player version, a littlebird would be good. I thought they had a blackhawk on the 32 player version which was my mistake. THe AA in the two is so restricted to a certain area that the blackhawk has an advantage because of the buildings and being out of range.

The map's a brilliant infantry map, the inclusion of the Blackhawk makes it more air orientated. Yesterday our squad teamed up with another squad and led a huge 12+ man assault on the city in three RHIBS. We all sneaked up through the sewage tunnel to take back the harbour and it felt so realistic. I had to take a couple screenies:

This was our boat. :D

This is us going through the tunnel.

The Little Birds are a nice touch. It gives you something to look out for, and it was always fun to hear the chopper sounds and have to take cover and shoot at it. When you heard chopper sounds and looked up and saw the Blackhawk however, you knew your time had come.

I'm going on TC, hope to see Rhino and SoldierofFortune on there soon. ;)

The USMC have a hard enough time taking back the Docks when they do have the Blackhawk. Think of how hard it would be for them if they only had 2 LBs on all three versions of Muttrah City

LB with mini guns is what this map needs imo.

Keep in mind that uh... maybe, possibly one day.... you might see shoulder fired AA in PR :p

They have them in NAW, too effective in my opinion.

Stingers would rock, but the AH-6 would be even better

ye that was my thoughts when i was flying on USI the other day, i think every enginner has a stinger. and when you fly over the middle of the map you get 3 locks on in afew senconds and can not escape them. Diving down behind lots of towers dose not tend to help also

It wont be, the LittleBirds right now are easily knocked out so the same amount of armour will be on the attack version, the gunnery will be hard to master too i guess.

If the Littlebird it too much, the next best thing is a Kiowa, with its rocket only weaponry.
