Insurgency map as normal map

Hey,
last couple of times when I played Insurgency maps, it struck me that the level of detail and immersion is much higher on these maps. Well, this is not really what struck me, but it did struck me that the AAS maps seem to have this much less.
So what Im suggesting (and might take up as a summer project) is get an AAS map up with the level of detail an Insurgency map has.
Im not sure how many community factions have AAS maps in the works, but most epic maps, turn out to be insurgency. Theres nothign wrong with that, I love the game mode just as much as AAS. But I thought it would be nice to have the atmosphere of an insurgency map and put that on an AAS map.
Any ideas? Am I the only one? No, yes? Discuss!

I've got to agree, more maps are always good, and it would really give some different views on the maps if we could use them as AAS maps as well

We could just replace insurgents with MEC and call it a day.
It's desert all the same, we could pretend it's the early days of the invasion and they're saddam's army.
But I agree, insurgency maps are really nice, it's unfortunate that they're limited to the insurgency game mode, making them AAS will get them played more.

The reason for this is that you on AAS maps are limited to the different objectives. You don't get the chance to discover every part of the map as you do when searching for caches in insurgency. That's what make those maps so immersive, and I'm sure that much of that immersiveness would disappear if alternative versions of them, with different objectives to attack or defend.

No Storm, the immersiveness to me is the ammount of detail. Korengal for instance has almost a 1:1 feel for how its there in real-life. Fallujah as well. If you take for example Ejod and put it next to Fallujah you can see the difference.
I know Ejod is much, much older. But a map like Sangin, would be very nice to have a conventional battle on. Im not saying we should use that map, but to me, a lot of bad-*** maps with a high true to life level are almost always used for Insurgency. Not that its a bad thing like I said earlier, but this way the normal AAS maps seem a bit dull in comparison.

I would love to see Falluja West or OP Archer as a normal AAS map.

I agree with cyberzomby. The Insurgency maps have something about them that is really appealing.
I would nothing more than to play a normal round on say Fallujah.
Perhaps these maps would better suit C&C? because then like Insurgency the whole map can be a battlefield

i think it would be cool if CnC game mode was also used for INS maps. that way all the map would be utilized.
actually, i think that CnC game mode should entirely replace AAS.
