Scince MEC uses all German weapons wont it make sense to make the tracers yellow instead of green? (ps: im not sure that the Germans weapons still use yellow but i know they used it in WWII)

Germany under Hitler fought differently than Germany now.
Germany now uses the same color tracers as the rest of NATO..
Yellow is left for tank rounds and APC autocannons...
Though, I think the MEC would eventually run out of 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition because they are fighting NATO...which means they would have to produce indigenous ammunition and its possible those could be green

I think Nato ones are actually red, just it is very hard to tell in videos. Someone can confirm what colour they are I am sure.
Edit, you can see here it starts of bright yellow, but turns to red in the end. Look closely.

It turns in to red because the phosphorus ignites in halfway down range.

Yeah, I would say that they're red, but they're so hot just after leaving the barrel that they appear to glow yellow/white.

I think they should stay the same. Since you can use green/red or anything in a g3 that fits the 7.62X51mm. NATO rounds use phosphorus or magnesium. Russian or Chinese tracers use barium salts. Sometimes tracers don't emit light rays at all they have infrared rays that can be detected using night vision equipment.

I'm sorry but where's the connection? German weapons doesn't mean german ammunition There's no need to have the same tracers just because german weapons are used
Any country with mid advanced industry can manufacture small arms ammunition, it's not some kind of rare technology .... and it is produced by human civilization for more then one hundred years (cased bullet - cartridge)
BTW.
Those red tracers can glow with yellow light but we can see it as red because of the Doppler effect

The origin of the weapons have nothing to do with tracer colors. It's decided by the ammunition you use.

Possibly he was suggesting this so you could tell freindly fire from that of your enemies??

wow... you guys missunderstood me. Im not sayin modern Germany is like Nazi Germany.... lol wat I meant (or thought) is that the ppl who made the guns during WWII (mauser, Walther etc.) they still make weapons and they were the ones who chose tracer colors (Im sure Hitler didnt chose the color yellow) so the same color might still be used. but yeah I didnt think about the fact that MEC in PR is "rich" so they can make thier own ammo.

but yer that's what we're saying in the end it just depends on the ammo not the rifle

Ooh, didn't think of that. Very true.
Like the 'red shift' I learnt about in physics used to work out how fast planets are accelerating away.

Yellows boring, why don't we have a purple tracer instead.
or better yet all different coloured tracers all packed into the same magazine. then we could shot rain bows out of are guns.

A tracer projectile is constructed with a hollow base filled with a pyrotechnic flare material, often made of phosphorus or magnesium or other bright burning chemicals. In US and NATO standard ammunition, this is usually a mixture of strontium compounds (nitrate, peroxide,...) and a metal fuel such as magnesium. This yields a bright red light. Russian and Chinese tracer ammunition generates green light using barium salts.

having yellow tracers would be nice on some maps that they blinded into better like desert maps .
