I play all highs and i get decent K :D every round. I've been playing for a couple years though, and the first year or so of playing the game i did play on Low graphics, and there definitely are some advantages to it. I prefer playing on highs though, as it's more immersive and so damn pretty.

  • Walking forever across the map

    - Bound to happen, some people just refuse to use the transports properly
  • Waiting to spawn

    - Again....bound to happen. Only the truly experienced can go long without deaths (this excludes me ;) )
  • SL without a mic

    - Agreed it's frustrating, but some people just don't have one (or just hate using them)
  • Medic who screws around

    - Truly frustrating...but not that common
  • People who get 20+ kills thanks to dumbing down graphics or due to their crappy
    computer

    - You too have this option
  • Mouthbreathers

    - Let them know, I'm sure they will adjust their settings (that or mute them if all else fails)
  • Snipers

    - Sniper are great...when they perform recon more than 733t headshots
  • lonewolfs

    - The 2nd worst thing there is, but aside from banning them there nothing you can do to keep them away
  • Player insulters/complaining SL/SM

    - Agreed...but sometimes they have good reason (though not often)
  • Kids on mumble and people who scream into their mic randomly

    - R-Tards and young people are everywhere, so no surprise here
  • Bad pilots

    - We all had to learn to fly sometimes
  • Kitwhores

    - This and soloing vehicles are the #1 most annoying thing...but this is being worked on
  • Running out of stamina due to jumping over a curb.

    - Annoying, but supposedly being fixed
  • Bad drivers

    - Same as "bad pilots", we all have to learn at some point
  • No teamplay

    - Better teamplay than vBF2 (or most other mods for that matter)
Thought's in RED

Heh, everything you've stated was at least more of a server feedback, nothing todo with what PR's done :p

AS for running out of stamina because you've jumped over a curb, I can agree it's frustrating, but in my and a majority of player's opinions, bunny hoping is far worse.

On that topic, Rhino, is it possible to make it so that a player can't jump unless they have enough stamina? I can assure you that you'll loose 99.9 % of bunny hopers instantly. I dunno if it's alterable, though, because IIRC it was like that in one of the previous vBF2 versions (Like 1.0 possibly?)

if your team is walking, your team is doing something wrong, if you don't like ur team I suggest you move servers
  • Waiting to spawn
if your waiting to spawn its cuz you did something wrong generally
  • SL without a mic
Join a squad called "eng Voip" or start your own.
  • Medic who screws around
do it yourself if you feel the medic isn't good enough
  • People who get 20+ kills thanks to dumbing down graphics or due to their crappy computer]
Buy everyone a new computer and force graphics on max, I'll wait for my new hardware, cheers mate!
  • Snipers
Good snipers are good snipers, bad snipers are bad snipers, good medics are good medics and bad medics are bad medics. Bad = bad, good = good.
  • lonewolfs
Play on a server that kicks for lack of Teamwork, e.g. TG
  • Player insulters/complaining SL/SM
yeah, they do suck a bit, but I also mention that you are complaining about SLs and SMs in this thread
  • Kids on mumble and people who scream into their mic randomly
this is why God invented Mute/leave squad
  • Bad pilots
play on a server that kicks for wasting assets
  • Kitwhores
Play on a server that kicks for unecessarily taking kits that are sparse
  • Running out of stamina due to jumping over a curb.
Stamina is fine now thanks to the recharge rate
  • Bad drivers
I get the impression you just dont like 'bad players'.......choose your servers more wisely or only play on passworded servers/events
  • No teamplay
    What a shocker!
what a boring unconstructive post....

basically sums up as

"I don't like bad people"

nope, or its what we would have most likley done it already but I can tell you now, it aint possible, at least not back when PR was in v0.3

I feared as much. What a stupid thing to remove from the game (Because I"m pretty sure thath they did have it in the early versions, but then removed it)

I play with a **** PC and i don't find myself doing any better in the slightest.

Keep everything but lighting and shadow effects on high and you'll find that you're going to get the same 20+ kills.

Characters are very hard to see when you aren't close to them when shadows and high lighting is on.

the only problem is getting over those pesky hills in korengal which u need to jump a bunch of times in order to get to top/get over. i would rather keep the current jump system.

"lonewolfs
Bad pilots
Running out of stamina due to jumping over a curb.
Bad drivers
No teamplay"

all of them, except for "Running out of stamina due to jumping over a curb." are due to the players which is not the fault of PR.
but it does suck to tun out of stamina trying to walk over 12 inch barier.

Here's what I hate:

Squad leaders who try to play too "tactically" even though the tactics are inappropriate for the situation.
Squad leaders who are too slow to react.
Squad leaders who squander opportunities to catch the enemy completely off guard.
Squad leaders who formulate fail-tastic plans and force you to go for the ride.
Squad leaders who force you to play kits you don't like playing as or suck with (IE the grenadier or marksman).
Squad leaders who insist on fighting the enemies head on rather than going around.
Squad leaders who don't listen to you when you tell them about a completely wide open angle of attack.
Squad leaders who let themselves get bogged down and thus swarmed because they're too afraid to move; this happens a lot on insurgency maps.

Squad members who just ignore everything you tell them.
Squad members who start firing upon any and all enemies they see.

Drivers that can't stay still when you're shooting at a target while you're not even receiving return fire.
Drivers who ignore warnings that you're driving into mined area or enemy armor.

Pilots that try to pick you up when you don't want to be picked up.

Tank/APC drivers that insist on driving in the city ensuring every retard with an RPG, RKG, IED, or mine is in cannot-possibly-miss range.
Tank/APC drivers that never scan for targets.

Climbing 100m up an incline only to find out that you can get past a 1m section and you have to go 300m around.

You know this thread IMO is pretty worthless since there were like a dozen of similar threads around. It simply does not help at all.

Here is just what a wise guy said once.

"Players are hardcoded. Nothing we can do about it."

A piece of advice my 1SG gave me back in 95 "If you don't like the way its done, make the rank and do it better!" In this situation I would suggest you form a SQ and do it better. At least with all of these problem areas you already know what not to do.

P.S I've noticed a lot of excellent SLs on the PRT server.
