I'm worried this is a bit noobish:
Everytime I switch on the computer it wants to install BF2, no big problem I just cancel and confirm but a bit annoying all the same....WHY?

Check if the installer somehow got into your autostart.
Start -> Programs -> Autostart

Lol, thought this topic was about a actual 'switch' on the PC that is used to start BF2

That would be neato.
About the problem, I can really only think of what Zrix was thinking, but I lack much Vista knowledge. I did a quick google search for autostart in Vista and found this page which seems to explain it well. Remember to be careful as to what you decide to stop as it may disable virus scanning or other system critical utilities. Look for BF2.exe or something I guess, this is kinda strange.
Windows Vista Tweak - Stop Auto-Start Applications
Good luck

Yes it is.
And dont you
........ me boy, I'm just trying to help you. Insulting people is generally not a good way to get help.
Anyways, also try this;
Open My Computer and right click on your CD/DVD drive and click on "Open Autoplay"(or something similar, my OS is in Swedish so I'm just guessing) and see if the BF2 disk is set to autorun.

Zrix dont get what your problem is with his reply, but dont start trolling....
Think your problem may be down to teh fact that the DVD boots into autorun everytime you turn your PC on, so either change the permissions on Auto loading DVDs etc or remove the disc after you finish playing.
To test this remove the disc, Restart your pc and see if it still initialises.
