Help with Teamwork

Ive been having some really crappy games recently. no teamwork at all. squaddies running around, no one sticking together. no coordination. all of it. i was just wondering if a few of you hardcore players have xfire or sumtin, so i can hop onto servers with you. im fed up of loading into crappy games. this isnt the way PR was made to play.

I have this problem on a lot of servers. Tacticalgamer, GIB, VIRGINIA, UK Reality, and a few others.

im not complaining, im just asking for some guys to contact so we can play together and enjoy ourselves.

i know what u mean. PR can be a great fun or alot of frustration depending on the squad and team youre on.

my suggestion is:
1. Make your own squad and label it: "....voip" like INF VOIP, M16 VOIP, AK VOIP etc.
that is how i play 90% of the time because too many people cant keep a squad
together.

2. During play, ESPECIALLY IF U HAVE A FULL 6/6 SQUAD, tell your squad members to
follow orders and stay on SL or be kicked from the squad (*But make sure u give good orders that make sense like defending a cache or making a FOB in a good spot). I do this and it really help the squad play as a team and have a overall better experience.

Squadleading has been a bit of a drag for me recently, but i might give it another go soon. i dont get why i never am able to play with the people who post on the forums. it would be nice to play with some people who care about the game and take it seriously for what it is.

my best game memories are with either PR DEVs, like Fuzzhead, or a TG DEV who led a squad. were are all the good players? is there some secret server im missing? i feel as though even TacticalGamer, to go-to server for the best PR experience, has gotten worse.

I highly recommend texas teamplayers.

Also I believe when you play makes a big difference too. Mon-fri night = less kids {school nights} which usually, not always, equates to more adults playing and more teamwork and general maturity. I play sometimes during a saturday or sunday, and often want to bash my head into the wall.

its all about times as Charlie said.

The good people tend to hav RL commitments etc, so they come on around 1800hrs-2100hrs GMT and play for a couple of hours, then they leave and servers then die.

I recommend passworded events run by TG and RT and anyone else I cant remember, it just avoids the tards.

If you havent tried playing on a server with alot of mumblers on try it.

You'll be suprised how much more likely Blues are to do something useful when your telling them something with ur voice rather than text. (which can easily be ignored or missed on screen)

How do I get into these passworded events? I can't make many committments to gaming. It's kind of a play when I can thing. But if I could get into an event that would be great.

And Texas has been empty lately

join RT reality teamwork mumble, It usually is active on afternoons (US) and pretty much the only place I go. If you want some teamwork commitment join a clan or tournament fit for you.

afaik for TG, you just ask a TG member who is in teh know or ask on mumble (gotta check that) and they'll give you the password

Alright well I guess I'll check the tactical gamer websites forums to see how to join. As for joining a clan, I did but it turned out to be small and more comedian orientated. Plus I don't have the time to make a committment to a clan

Reality Teamwork will be launching a second, US based server very soon. The plan is to have the EU and US servers permanently passworded, to ensure that only good teamworkers join the server.

Our community is growing rapidly - we only launched our server 2 weeks ago and we now have over 200 members, so it shows that many people feel the same way as you flem :)

We aren't a clan - in fact most of our members are people from all the different clans. We are a community, where the plan is to have a server offering good teamwork, whenever you choose to play.

You can join up here :

Thanks space. I hope this will allow me, and others seeking some good realistic teamwork the place to find it. I'll join as soon as I get the chance.

RRT is the place, I was there last night we had a very bossy, but effective SL (Wicca) try it with Mumble....I think Mumble does not appeal to the squeky voice brigade so much either!

I just played a few rounds on CHICAGO HARDCORE. I was the SL and managed to lead some good squads. My team however was aweful. We lost every match I played. There were scattered friendliest everywhere. It was frankly a rape fest. But my squads all managed to follow my rules and as they got used to me, things got better. Unfortunately there was always one guy who thought he was rambo. He would run off on his own and I had to call him back a lot. Also, I felt like I was babysitting, and the second I turned my back everyone would scatter, which they did a few times. I was hoping for a bit more, but it was much better than what I had been in before.

I blame this summer influx of kids. The locked-sniper-squad frequence has increased dramatically. I usually change squads until I hear voip tactial banter. If that´s not helping I change team and as a last resort server.

I´ve tried mumble but all I got was a bunch of morons screaming at eachother mostly. But the worst part: it gives away your frigging position to the enemy. That´s also why I avoid the commo rose with verbal commands and responses.

Only time when I lonewolf is when I´m the sole survival of my squad and behind enemy lines. But if my SL asks me I will gladly suicide and regroup with the squad. Teamplay is generlly more sparse on INS maps as well. You can do quite good on your own with a AK-47 and some neighbourhood shooting.

I agree with DDT, on the part of the Ins maps, I tend to just do my own thing its a welcome break form all the tactics you have to deal with when playing as a Coalition force.
But IMO mumble enhances the gameplay somewhat, i tend to have better rounds when playing with mumble just for the sheer fact you can talk with different squads instead of being isolated in your own squad. Yeah people mess around on mumble, but hey its only a game, and i tend to find when the shit hits the fan people tend to hustle up a bit more.

On regards to a good TW server, stick with Reality Teamwork, every round on that server has been a good one.

Teamwork as insurgents is non existent. I love Al Basrah, but if I'm not British I either wait to change teams or leave the server

I tend to squad lead alot, and I know exactly what you mean... Sometimes you really have to hound your men to get their acts together, but I find a little continued "reminding" of where people should go and constant updating of move markers so your squaddies know exactly what you're talking about helps.

On the other hand though, I've miraculously had squads where everyone just naturally sticks together and works as team. (The most recent one I was playing as the Taliban, no less... Insurgents working together, say what?! ). Those are the best, but really, its hit and miss. Sometimes you get a good team, sometimes you don't, but as the squad leader it is ultimately your choice how you want to run it. Keep everyone focused and give reminders of what you're squad is doing and what their objective should be and most people will comply.

What I hate even more is squad leaders who sit around and never give their squad members instructions so everyone either runs off solo or sits around doing nothing, waiting for SL orders. But, I run into plenty of really really good squad leaders as well sometimes.

Its funny, but I've found that usually the first few squads to be created are usually the best... I tend to think its because the people who make the first squads REALLY want to be squad leader and are more motivated ;)

Ya squad leading usually leads to a better gaming experience, but i would like to be able and sit back and have someone else tell me what to do every now and then. being an SL wears you down. constantly repeating simple orders over and over. in game i keep my cool, but mentally im killing myself. and ill try to join the squads that are made first and see if they are any better. only problem there is that my loading times range from 3-7 minutes, so usually all those squads are full

Yeah my workaround for the loading times is just to turn down my graphics... it really drastically increases loading times. Also has the side effect of me being able to grab a helo or other asset before some "nub" takes it. Flying is much smoother too. Still though... turning down the graphics means turning down the graphics... so it won't be pretty.

And yeah, squad leading can get old. I usually enjoy it... because it avoids all the problems of running in a random squad. YOU call the shots, and ultimately you have more impact on the battlefield as you yourself are essentially multiplied by 6 as you lead your squad. But, its always nice to let someone else who knows that they're doing take over. Unfortunately, that person can't always be found.

Usually anybody with a clan tag is a good squad leader, and as stated, squads with VOIP in them are almost always a winner. Also, there is one other way I often use to tell if a squad is a good squad or not. Hit caps lock to get to the squad leader menu, then click on the squads individually. This will highlight the troops in that squad and turn them from blue to white. If all the little white dots are in the same area, you know they're working together, and if they're working together they probably have a good squad leader, or at the very least, good squad members.
