Secure drug/poppie field mode

I typed in "drug" in the already suggested thread and it hasn't been suggested yet. So already in PR theres already a mode where the two factions have to secure certain objective's on a map. Usually the factions that are involved in those game modes are the MEC, chinese, u.s. and british. My idea is essential the same

Main objective
BLUEFOR to secure drug field(s)
REDFOR to defend drug field(s)

Factions
BLUEFOR = marines, british, us army
REDFOR = insurgents, taliban

So basically its an AAS with insurgents, thats not a good idea. Been proven enough times Ins dont stand a chance in a gamemode like that.

Hm, Insurgents and AAS = Bad.

Essentially, this is more like a AAS tbh..

Even worse that your mentioning making the flags on feilds which are wide open and BLUFOR troops would just stay back and use optics to kill them and win by tickets anyways.

How about may having Drug Caches on Taliban maps instead of or in addition to Weapons Caches?
The drug caches could heal you slowly in the same way that weapon caches rearm you.

Be the same intel type method of finding them rather than flags however.

then dont have tickets for ins team, force the BLUFOR to assault, ins/tali's use mines and all to hold them back

I think BLUEFOR will wan't to destroy drug field insdead of securing it.
But if put Drug Caches *** an objective it could work.

Oh, and REDFOR probably should be taliban. That would make more sance, I think.

No poppy/opium (cant remember spelling) fields are a major income to the taliban in afghanistan.

It was somewhere between 70-90% of the world opium comes from Afghanistan.

"Telling a true story of permanent increase in opium poppy cultivation since 2001, the Foreign Office sources said the production reduced to only 185 tons in the year 2001 but now it stands at 7,700 tons a year, with an unanswered question as to whether Afghans can use all or drugs mafia supplies the major chunk to the rest of the world."

Sounds like the weapon cache mode but with poppy fields. Would have to be some way of limiting the range advantage that the conventional armies in PR have over the insurgency in order to balance the map effectively. Then again, that will all come down to map design and asset placement.

Just make it an 8km map and give coalition forces attack helicopters, tanks, and IFVs, to make it fair.

Wouldn't the inclusion of attack helicopters and tanks just make it harder for the Insurgents? If you were going to use Brit forces, I'd just go for land rovers, perhaps 1 APC.

That would be grossly in adequate on an 8km map.

You're securing fields! FIELDS! Anything below 8KM would be too small.

I find this whole idea extremely unrealistic.

A foreign conventional military taking control of a drug field? WTF? Isn't that the responsibility of the law enforcement agencies of that country?

Afghanistan has lots of poppy and marijuana fields, but the coalition isn't there busting down farmers huts and burning their fields. Who are we to say they can't grow poppies or pot?

The only way i can see this happening is if you created a local drug enforcement agency as another faction.
