Civ replacements

The Civilian kit has two radically different fields of opinion behind it. From what I've determined in game, player either love the kit, or hate the kit; I don't often find "middle ground" in the middle of a game.
In lieu of a civilian, I propose these replacements for consideration by the community (I highly doubt the devs are ever ditching that class).
Medical aspect replacement: Medical Specialist Insurgent
While full-out doctors are in short supply, especially in the war-torn streets of Basrah, some mujahideen are still versed in the basics of field-aid. While they cannot save their friends and comrades from severe wounds, they are none the less capable of saving a few lives.
Equipment:
Knife
MR-444 (3 + 1) OR AK-74u (2 + 1)
10-15 field packages OR medic bag
Rationale
Bleeding out sucks. Medical rambo's also suck. A pistol or the shitty little SMG makes for a poor Rambo, even with excessive amounts of bandages or a medical bag. This is essentially a revival of the old "doctor" class, except without a full-out rifle. It does not have the ability to revive (insurgents would then go back to "instant death" I'd guess), and thusly is not equal to the conventional medics in any way. I'm leaning more towards the pistol over the SMG, as I've heard the 74u is less common on the market than the AK47 variants are (logistics issues ensue). Additionally, I'd not want a large *** rifle in my way when I'm trying to save the life of someone who matters.
Scout Aspect Replacement: Scout Insurgent
Life in the war-torn regions of the world drives certain individuals to become predispositioned towards the observation of enemy actions over the direct confrontation of their forces. These individuals are recruited by wise leaders to further enhance a rebellion's combat potential.
Equipment:
Knife OR bayonet
Shovel
SKS OR AK-74u
Mortar Cell Phone
Grappling Hook
Rationale
Squads need grappling hooks, especially if they're expected to survive against superior forces like the US and the UK. It's also nice to be able to carry that mortar cellphone around so you can call in strikes from superior angles without endangering the cell leader. He can also help dig things, but he doesn't get the luxury of hand held bombs of any sort.
