ok first of all i cant put this into the proper thread (suggestions) because i need 25 points?? i think thats a stupid idea but that might just be me..


anyways what does everyone think of this idea?


in BF2 and PR the commander can push V to talk to the squad leaders, as a squad leader myself, often im over on a flag waiting for it to turn to a capture point. i.e im waiting for squad one to capture point A so point B is able to be captured... as you all may know this sometimes can be a long process and often leads you wondering does squad 1 need assistance capturing point A? its hard to tell while looking on the map that only shows them and their rally.. so my suggestion is what if we enabled a squad leader VOIP chat? like the commander chat you would push a key to talk to other squad leaders and ask if they need help or how they're doing.. I think that would help out greatly for more tactical assaults rather than a mass of squads capturing point by point.


what do you guys think of it?


my friend made one point where the squad leader chat might be a problem due to an open mic and some random kid would spam it... thats the only concern i can think of atm.

25 posts limit is to prevent posts like yours, play the game spent more time on forums and then suggest something.
Everything in VOIP system is hardcoded and cant be changed.

SL to SL Voip isn't possible, use Vent/TS or Mumble for that, also this thread is the reason why you need 25 posts before suggestion something.

use a 3rd party VOIP program, such as mumble or Teamspeak.

this is hardcoded into BF2 as not possible
SQUAD LEADERS CAN ENVER TALK TO EACH OTHER VIA VOIP!

As others have said there is a very good reason for the 25 post limit and that is to avoid new members posting things that have already been suggested many many times. In this case anything relating to the VOIP system built into BF2 cannot be modified, if it could then we almost certainly already would have it.

You should use the search function next time buddy.
