ok, so ive just downloaded project reality 0.86 and ive ran the core and levels thing. i havent ran the patch because at a certain point, it says it cannot continue due to a corrupted source file. it asks me if i want to retry, abort, or skip (or something like skip, i cant remember) and i dont want to continue fearful that ill screw somthing up and have to re-download everything. i also dont have framework 3.5 because it will not install because of an error. despite these problems, i can still run pr 0.86. but i cannot run the game for more than 20 minutes because after a while the game will just crash. yes, i have bf2 1.41. im clueless as to what i have to do. can some1 please help me?

first... the patch is only from .856 to .86... the full download is .86

i had an error with the framework thing two, just do an uninstall and reinstall of project reality and see if that works... i got mine to be correctly working on my second reinstall, becuase i messed something up=P

bassickly, only re-download the core and levels, run the core first, and let it update, and if it is all successfull, you should be fine =)

ps, you do not have to reinstall vinnila, only project reality

nope...... a full reinstall didnt work. could it be because i dont have .NET Framework 3.5 sp1 installed? and what is vinnila? please help me as this is very annoying.

Can you tell us what the error is when you try to install .NET 3.5 . Also give your OS and what service packs you have installed.

'Vanilla' refers to plain old BF2.
PR is more like fudge ripple with fancy sprinkles on top!

i have service packs 2.0/3.0, both SP2. i got this error when i try to install framework. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 'package': [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 'package'. MSI returned error code 1603
some people told me on pr that my ram was overflowed and that i need to buy another gb of ram. i currently have 1 gb of ram.

Try working through that.

what OS are you using, ie, vista, xp etc...

wow. somehow, project reality decided to stop being a ********* because it isnt tabbing out anymore. i actualy played 2 full matches. thanks for the help guys.
