My problem is that every time i join an online game of pr (doesnt happen in LAN games i host) about 5 minutes later it crashes to desktop, most recently i has suppressing an insurgent with my M4 when suddenly it froze for and repeated my m4's sound several times in quick succession and it crashed to desktop about .5 seconds later...

Ok so i came in here and looked for the fix. i have noticed a lot of people have problems similar to mine so i thought i test some things, i found that the same thing happens in BF2 SF expansion in MP and on BF2 stock it does likewise, so WTF is going on?!?!?! i have reinstalled twice both pr and bf2. i even went as far as to wipe and reinstall xp. (only reason i use this computer is for games.) Its driving me crazy! it worked fine for 3-4 days then this bullshit!

sounds like an overheating problem

you should check your temps and consider a dedusting the rig

sometimes updating punkbuster manually helps

up-to-date drivers can help you gain better performance and sometimes reduce the temps

you should also consider checking your ram for defects

When asking for help,

what you have already tried.

The more info you can provide us the better chance you have of getting a quick solution for your problem.
The repeating sound jam you describe can have several causes so post your specks and we'll try to narrow down the cause.
