Hey there fellas, just got myself a new rig and finally i can play P.R!

just got a few issues with it, im not too sure if this is right also, i wanted to post the screenie in game but it crashes to desktop everytime i press print screen?

the problem being, iv set all my gfix in game to low first to set them up then i changed them to high as i know my g.fix card will be ok as its new, anyways back to the prob, when i get into a vehicle it seems that inside is like its in very low quality settings is this right? like all the control pannels are all blurred

also i did have a few kicks but i THINK that my PB update has fixed that although i have had a dll error which im not too sure about! ill get back to you fellas if i have that again :)

thanks for your support in advance :)

Try this fix

In game textures set to 'HIGH'
Set the textures to medium.
I'm not sure why this makes a difference with high-end cards that can run games like Crysis
on high quality settings with no problem at the same res,
but for some reason it matters in Project Reality.

Good luck

Welcome to the forums mate ^ the above post is the quick dirt fix

here's the fix if you wanna use high textures

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... -86-a.html
Q: I am crashing to desktop when loading/changing levels.
Q: I am getting a lot of lag on levels.

A: The most common cause of this is that you are running out of memory (though there are other causes). BF2 was a memory intensive game, and PR only increases on that.

First, you can try lowering your video settings, in particular, Textures. If that doesn't help or fix your issue, you can try increasing your virtual memory.

If that STILL doesn't work, you can try patching your bf2.exe to allow it to use more than 2GB of memory. This is only useful if you indeed do have more than 2GB of memory. Firstly, you want to backup your current bf2.exe in your "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2" (default install location) folder. To do this, simply rename it from bf2.exe to bf2.exe.original. You should back it up incase you have any issues in the future. Now you need to download the patched bf2.exe. This can be found in THIS zip file (THIS one if your using the EA Downloader version) (If you get a virus warning, ignore it, just a false positive). Then simply extract it next to bf2.exe.original, and your good to go.
what that does is explained here

Sheesh, moving from XP to Windows 7 has been bit of a pain for me. I was experiencing the exact same problems. Downloading the modded EXE file seemed to help though. Beforehand, I was getting that memory.dll issue all the time, and I was also experiencing weird textural glitches.

I think this should be added in the next version of PR, seeing as more and more people will be switching to Windows 7, etc...

hmnger,
When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
O/S,
systems specks,
network setup
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.

Post error # or message

Run PR in 'windowed' mode to see if any error messages come up
(instead of running in full screen, it runs in a 'window')
To do so
Right click on shortcut.
Choose properties from bottom of list.
Modify the text in your shortcut's 'target' window.

Change
+fullscreen 1
to
+fullscreen 0

Then Google or use 'search' on Project Reality web page for the error message you get.

Good luck
