Crews from different squads should be able to join up with a squad at the base or at the battlefield to complete a vehicle unit requirement and be able to operate that position.

crewmembers need to be in VOIP communication

and also, the squad system setup in this way prevents Blues getting in to gunner positions etc when you need a green to get in.

join appropriate squad, problem solved
and btw, how teh hell are going to operate APC\tank etc. with no comms?(you cant communicate with another squad's member)

if you really need to join the vehicle crew of another squad, run up to their vehicle, get a crewman kit, and then join their squad like Danke Said

Squads are not set in stone, thats a gameplay aspect that alot of players need to learn, but often squadmates are chosen according to social groups rather than what the team actually needs, so its a flawed system, but the best there is

Having just read your other thread, I think you need to spend some time reading the manual and learning about what PR is. I don't think you understand how important small-team cohesion is.
