im no good with mod files etc, so thats why im posting here.

It would seem that in my experience the iraq INS have a larger spawn time that BLUFOR.

For example, i just left a game as Iraq INS after 10 mins because of the stupid spawn times. The story:

i spawn, soon after im killed and have a 45 second respawn. i have not team killed or team damaged or got a special kit or anything like that. its my first death and its 45 seconds, why?
i have a wander round, i kill a US guy but then am killed after. 50 second spawn. second death, again with no TK's or team damage and i have a 50 second spawn:

why ?why is this? can some one with the knowledge of looking at the correct files check the INS spawn time for me? i might be tripping balls but it would seem to me that iraqi INS have a longer spawn that BLUFOR. and the above situation seems like common place for me.

Well, I cant tell you why, but I can confirm that I experienced this aswell, and I was always like WTF?!

Maybe its a bug, if so, lets hope it can be fixed server-sided

I don't know why it does this but from my experience its from dying too many times in a short amount of time.

like i said, my first death was 45 seconds.

Yeah, but doesn't the extra spawn time penalty kick in after 3-4 deaths in a row?

It's not a new thing to me and I curse this every single time I play with the Insurgents. I get 40-50 second spawntimes constantly even with a few deaths and some kills.

The Insurgents should have considerably lower spawntime than the opposing forces IMO.

I thought BluFor had the same 45 second base spawn time (but most of the time it rolls by while waiting for a medic, where as an insurgent will hit give up right away due to a lack of collaborators).

any one know where to find the spawn times?

pr/python/game/, but most of the configs are locked down, so you can't check what the spawn times are set to.

it is a mystery for me too, and it makes me rage. i'll just put it together with my other discoveries that make me think devs are blufor fanboys ;P

Yeah, this sorta ticks me off some time, Unlimited kits makes up for it
