I am going to say.... maybe. Simply because it is a laptop GPU and not a very high end one. Depends on what resolution you plan on running of course. It wont be the highest settings but with the some trial and error, you can achieve smooth gameplay.
The following benchmarks were conducted on a Asus F50SV-A2 with a GT 120M and a P8600 CPU.

Call of Duty 5: 1366x768, max, 2xAA: 20-25 fps -> barely playable
Left 4 Dead: 1366x768, max, 2xAA: 28-30 fps -> playable

source --> Notebookcheck: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M

I'm getting a laptop with similiar specs (9600GT instead of GT120) by the end of August/ beginning of September. So if you haven't bought the laptop by that time, just pm me if you want some extra info about games and such.
Oh, and i'll be using Windows XP instead of Vista, since Vista uses too much RAM. So you could expect some extra performance using Windows XP.

There is no way we can put PR in the same graphics quality as COD4 that gpu will run PR fine at high settings with that 720p res no problem...

that will definitely work- i used to have an HP laptop which probably didnt have 512mb graphics. It had 2gb of RAM and was useless. It will def play PR on low smoothly.

Hmm...seems to me they benchmarked COD5 and not COD4, so I am not sure where you are getting your information. And last I checked, L4D isn't a very demanding game and it was barely playable with the same GPU and a better CPU.

I stand by what I and a few others have already said, it will run fine at lower settings.
