If this is a suggestion, how about deciding what you want first before you suggest it?
Also, I'm guessing the third one is from COD4, so I'll take another guess and say it's not realistic in the slightest.
To convince the developers to change the Acog again, you'll need to do more than post a few random sight pictures.
Isn't the last one almost identical to the new one for PR that's been announced? I don't know how easy it will be to make it glow like that.
From what I've heard, PRs military advisors have helped refine the look of the Acog many times, I trust that they know what they're doing.

Your right...............The agocs could be like that, but i guess its different from which force and country...........Maybe your family was in something other than the force on the mod is..........Not US,but i mean like Seals,Army,Marines...................

i believe the chevron is what is found on the version of the ACOG with the optical fibre mounted on the top (the version in use for PR)

Some of those look like the ArmA ones, I'm sure there are good reasons why this one was chosen instead

The TA01NSN was originally adopted by US Army SOCOM. It was not widely employed by REGULAR US Army units nor will it be -- It will be replaced by the TA31RCO-M150 which is depicted by the new reticle.

im guessing you guys of course know what your doing.. its merely a suggestion theres really not a thng as a bad idea but its up to you guys to decide
COD4 yeah its an unrealistic game but they did do their research and a few things correctly just because i used a picture as reffrence doesnt mean much
you guys of crouse know the picture shown isnt exaclty like the one irl but i was suggesting maybe to make it more like it really is.. if that is how it really is according to my sources the pictures i posted look more like the actual thing
its not what i want i rarely use that scope altogether but maybe my pictures resemble more to the real thing? but after 6 or so tries its really up to you to see how much further you wanna alter it

$1000 for a sight? Jeese...
On another note, military advisers know their stuff, I think the Dev's are on top of this one.

This game is in the near future (2010 or 2011 for reference). So we want the most realistic sight that would be used then. Not the one being phased out now.

The new acog reticle is basically completely accurate, so you make a thread telling the devs to change it so it looks like like it does in a picture where it looks exactly like the new one?
And then you reference CoD4 as a credible source of military information.
I don't get it... =|
If you belive the military information provided by CoD4, you think the ACOG makes weapons less accurate, soldiers generally just toss grenades at nothing and pray they kill something, and a 5.56 round is more than capable of shooting through a 6 inch thick solid cement wall.
The game isn't exactly jammed with accurate information.

the last pic you posted was allready posted on the original page showing the update.. the cod 4 is probably unrelaible, for reasons posted above..and the fact that they have messed up naming there guns before...
and the rest just dont look all that clear...

You can change the scope as many times as you want. Doesn't make the gun any better. Do something to make it accurate. It's not called project reality for nothing right. The tanks are accurate. APC's are accurate - everything is accurate except the infantry shizzle. Someone explain why the guns are not accurate yet?

Because you are shooting wrong,like.
1.You could be shooting fast.............
2.You could start shoot on and enemy any time you see one without waiting the 3 seconds....
3.Or it could be you.......
Probably not the last one..........But try to wait some seconds and sit on your knees and then you shoot..........Wait 2 secs for each shot............Just try it.........

But why do you have to wait 3 sec?

Dont know, its just like that.............Ask dews or someone.............You know this shooting games, where it is a sight u can see from hip shooting, like BF2,BFV,COD,CS................It grows bigger when you shoot fast or full auto, but if you shoot one shot, wait for the sight to grow small again, then u shoot once more,..........
This may help you.......

Long story short:
Weapon sway cannot be done in the BF2 engine, each weapon has been given 'deviation' instead. Imagine trying to aquire a target in real life, you have to settle your weapon, fatigue affects you and you're certainly not as accurate on the run.

In RL they get what army buys, its all in the money, I saw even difrent acog, and reddot, in the same unit, so if u r rookie probably u get old one hehe. I like the way it is.
The last one picture i think is Reddot.
