Why every assault soldier have a M16 with 203 grenade launcher?

Just give them the regular M16, like the medics. And the 203 launchers for the squad leaders only.

Same for the MEC side.

I have a feeling (although I know -nothing- about the BF2 engine), that if you went squad leader it would just give you the 203, whether you want it or not.
I'm sure the DEV's could solve it though

This will be changed when/if the new squad system is implemented.
At the moment, assault class soldiers represent a Grenadier to balence a reason for someone to pick an assault class over a medic class.

Im starting to get worried about PR

I thought realism makes its own balance.

He means a balance between a grenadier class and a rifle class. Taking out the M203 at the moment (where it's impossible to currently add an additional grenadier layout) will make the Medic and Assault classes identical. Until they sort it out, the assault class is a balance between grenadier and rifleman.

not identical btw, because the riflemen are needed for the resupplies. Sooo... If you are a teamplayer and you dont want your squad to run out of AT rockets, you go assault. But I totally agree with everybody here, the assault class should some get some toys to play with instead of an m203 if its removed.

This may happen when the squad system in improved, i see a minumum of 5 new classes being added into the system now and a vast overhaul of the system that is in use now.
