Well ofcourse theres always the question. Is it already released? Have I just missed it?

But really, id love having the map overviews for tactical reasons. Id like to be able to mark areas on them, that I come to learn are useful for various reasons. Would give the serious communities another asset to success, and I expect, give the CW/PCWs more space for tactical superiorority.

So, are they obtainable by someone like me with no software engineering skills?
Or has this been going on for ages already?

Open a map's client.zip, browse to the "hud" folder. Open the .dds files with Photoshop for example (mind you, the PS nvidia .dds plugin must be installed).

Do you mean the map overviews or the minimaps?

Or, you could get the free program, Paint.NET
It has the ability to open .dds files.
