Then why do we have forklifts on barracuda? Was the forklift made by the PR team or is it an old VBF2 thing? I have never played the expansions so I don't know.

the forklift comes from BF2: SF
didn't know there were still on cuda, despite the unrealistic point of view it was funny to have them on muttrah

Its underground in the Chinese Missile silo

But I haven't checked if they removed it in .86.

The forklift a brilliant way to charge the mec on muttrah in style
Although i dont miss them as i have seen them run over many a squadmate to then be taken out by an auto rifleman. Its better they are gone imo means you dont see idiots running around the place in them.

I was disappointed at their removal. Despite being outrageous, they were fun and added comedic releif to the mod. It was always fun to see someone be all serious about everything, and then drive right up to them in a forklift and honk the horn.
My favorite tactic of all (this includes all other maps) was to have a buddy and I take a forklift, I ride on the "fork" part with my shotgun out (USMC, of course), and say "GEET SOOMMEE" while going full speed and shooting my shotgun off at people. It usually didn't work out too well at all, I can't imagine it would now with the LMGs being all uber powerful, but it was always fun while it lasted.
Another favorite was creating ghetTOWs with them, HAT in the front. This didn't usually work out well either, but that is beside the point.

Forklifts were epic, especially with Mumble, going past screaming on that was so cool

They weren't unrealistic, the way people use them were.
In the same way should choppers be removed as people use them to rush the enemy?

As CAS117 has said, they're trying to mod the players the best they can.
I think they were realistic on the docks; I mean it's a FORKLIFT after all.

They were great comedic relief, but to be honest I didn't even notice they were gone, they were never easily accessible to someone focusing only on the flags anyway.

They could add static ones for the realism of them existing, but I don't think it's really needed to have them drivable. I think Rhino just added them because they were in the old Muttrah City - a map that should have been in the retro pack by the way

No more "how about a rice wine instead."s, no more forklifts, no more flying vehicles that arent supposed to fly.
Pretty soon there will be no more Allah Cola or funny billboards.
What is this game coming to? /sarcasm

[ot] What if there were funny US commercials or posters like "I'n McDonald's we trust" at the carriers, would that be considered funny?. Iw yet to see one, MEC and Chinese have "similar", in some maps.[/ot]

Well, I dont really mind that they removed the Forklifts, but one thing I just noticed bugged the hell out of me.
In earlier Releases ( I dont know if it was .8 AND in .85 ) there were loads of civi-cars in the Parking lot building.
I mean, why the hell were they gone? In my opinion it wasnt total unreal that you have them. Apart from that, In MEC-main if you dont have a ride ATM, Ok, lets go to the parking lot and take a car.
I miss that ...

well, i guess the mec might use them if things got desperate. but even that seems dubious to me as they are supposed to be an organized army. and i can't really imagine the US using them
