i was wondering if someone could tell me how to do this.
i will tell you why i need this information.
i was on ukwf on barracuda on the chinese side.
we were defending south rock fort, i was the squad leader so i put an aa up and 2 hmgs further back covering the rock.
we saw the chopper come in low and both hmgs opened up on it and i can't imagine how they could've missed alot. from my perspective most of the bullets seemed to hit. i was in the aa so i fired twice, of course the flares took care of that. on our flank was also another jeep that was opening up on the attack huey.

the heli fired and took out both hmgs and then flew off behind us, i had survived in the AA and was reloaded by the time the heli flew over again. i was reloaded and i waited till i had a lock with the huey about 100 meters out. it didn't even bother dropping flares and i fired both my rockets. both rockets seemed to have hit at least somewhere near the heli, but for some reason a minute later the same huey was back.

the same thing basically kept repeating with the attack huey absorbing a huge amount of damage, firing at us and then going back to the carrier.

so can anyone tell me how to shoot these things down?

Attack hueys are really hard to kill now, I'm not sure but I think it has to do with the new helicopter health.
If he's routinely flying low, grab a HAT or LAT and pop him on the way out, should do enough damage to force him into the water, killing him before he can get back to the carrier.

AA kits take too much time to lockon and fire, and aren't all that reliable for anything but normal Huey's/Blackhawks/Transport choppers in the first place.

i think your only hope of downing a huey with HMGs is to get a lucky hit on the pilot as i think the chopper itself can take way too much damage now.

The DEVs have really messed up on this. They appear to have increased the health of the attack Huey, but didn't add the disable feature that is on the other choppers. When i am flying the attack Huey i do sometimes get hit pretty good by AA missiles but still have no issues getting back to the carrier even when im loosing health (but not burning).

Stationary machine gun's could help. Im thinking of a Dshk he he he

Well to destroy the heli its hard, but i do see the pilot get shot out alot.

When was this round? Was it last night? I was flying an attack huey, and I remember doing several runs on Chinese HMGs and AA. From my perspective, I was not getting hit. Tracers were flying past me, but only rarely was I hit.

I find it quite easy to take down an attack huey by positioning myself close to a manned stationary AA with an AA kit.... Not too close so that the flares it will drop in order to escape the AA dont affect you as well but close enough to not let it reload his flares too fast... That way you can lock on him after he dropped his flares and is returing to base.

Get some better marksmen, I could kill a Huey with 1 heavy mg.

i often wonder just how much abuse a real huey could take from a 50 cal machine gun. i mean, its a pretty thin skinned chopper isnt it? i wouldnt think it would be able to take too many hits before it gets seriously damaged. but i dont know for sure.

The damage system of the attack huey was indeed messed up and it wasn't getting disabled. Fixed for next version.

Can someone confirm that normal rifles go through the glass of the helicopter? If yes, just firing at the cockpit with all you got would be a solution^^

In in-game practice, small arms only work against passengers since on the Huey and the Blackhawk they're all positioned so nicely to absorb all the rounds that would otherwise go through the passenger compartment

Also db, can't a hotfix be issued for this, at least a fix where the attack Huey's HP is reduced to make it more killable...?

yeah, a hotfix would be nice, this has made playing chinese on barracuda a real pain in the ***.

When a huey is flying right towards yu its very easy to kill the pilot. Just aim at the same bit of the cockpit the whole time.

just tell EA to hurry the F up with their patch and the next version of PR will soon follow

Give us a hotfix, nao! Its damn frustrating to play against USMC with suicidal Atk Huey pilots, they make goddamn stupid strafes, but coz they are pretty much indestructible, they kill everything!

Weird, I have had no problems whatsoever to drop Huey's on Barracuda with AT's or AA's. Actually this is the first time I hear about this bug

Not always true, in my experience, I QZB'd a pilot out of an attack huey front on, 1st shot.
