was playing barracuda and got straffed by attack huey, was on the stinger and got killed and stinger was badly damaged but not destroyed, when i respawned went back into the stinger and then instantly started caughing and screen turned red, was full health when i went on it but was half dead when i got off it

not a bug, you need to rebuild it fully..

Perhaps you got something stuck in your throat when you got on it? Maybe some left over smoke/bomb residue got into your lungs and then, when you sat down on the stinger it made it worse and then you nearly died? ;D

To elaborate, the Stinger is a vehicle that can be damaged. When you exit a damaged vehicle, you are slightly wounded. If the Stinger/vehicle is badly harmed, you will leave the Stinger/vehicle badly wounded, sometimes to the point of near-instant death upon exiting.

If a Stinger has sustained damage, it'd be best to give it a few whacks with the shovel for good measure. Same applies for those .50 cals placed near firebases. They work the same way as Stingers/vehicles.
