Haha, hey its me Wildstar, you may remember me for such models as the Abrams and the uh well that doesn't matter.
I have here a 2911 poly Barret M107 Rifle.
I did this for fun but felt like you guys need to see it,

and isnt it probably a zero percent chance either will be added to PR considering the 50 cal that was in the game back in the day was removed?

Like i said guys i didn't say i wanted it in PR just wanted to show it off, i would doubt it would be placed in game cuz it doesn't really have a reason to be there but ya, my friend said to post so yea

It could have it's place, but I could never see it being put back in. Many people tried to pick it up in .5 to be 1337. (Remember those Barret kits with duel Uzis? Wasn't that wild?) I would check around with the rest of the modding community thoughl.

Looks really nice
The PR team won't add it.. a semi-automatic sniper rifle will probably never make it into PR, due to the fact you can just round around and spray it. Doesn't sound likely but it happened..

? maybe they have been removed cause they were inappropriate for the maps they stood.
Bi-ming ; Ghost train : Forest maps, nobody on heart would choose a .50 sniper rifle on such battlefields (I know... someone just did it in Rambo IV :roll

Al basrah : view distance <500m was too low for this rifle to be used for extra long range sniping.
Kashan : that was actually the only map were the rifle was close to justified, although the regular 7.62x51 rifle can do the job.
I've read an Afghan map with view distance >1500m was currently WIP.
Since :
the .50 sniper rifles have actually been used for anti-infantry roles in A-stan IRL
the .308 ingame becomes hardly useful due to bullet drop/loss of damages over 900m.
Maybe the devs will consider a comeback for them, at least for a few maps. I think you can set different kits layouts depending of the map, at least they did it in earlier versions (you had a shotgun for the engineer on CQB maps and an assault rifle on others).
Don't get me wrong, i'm not calling for the comeback of the .50 sniper rifles in-game or anything, I'm a **** shot and pretty much never use them anyway. Just to make simple suppositions

I used to take them whenever i could get them, in whatever map. Because i wanted to have fun with them before they removed them, especially the dual Uzis

It's used on the field ... should be added in game , but only if the limitations could be imported . like time to deploy , weight , blow-back , shooting better only in phoned position, delay to stabilize the aim between the shots and finally no pistol. also kits like these or sniper should be treated more like an asset, if you lose it , wait 15 minutes plus the time to the kit disappear... would solve the sniper lone wolfing problem .
only one of these per team once 40 player were reached , would be fun , i don't even like to use sniper kits but what makes pr so big is the diversity and the teamwork.
