Ok, i was downloading the level files for project reality after I installed the core files.But when it started it said File Corrupt and that i had three choices:abort,ignore,or retry.First I chose retry yet, i ended up getting the message again.So I pressed ignore and 3 seconds later it happened again! so i quit and erased ALL the files.I first tried it on moddb but it got corrupter then the other link and that one was disabled.Please Help!

My friend had this. He downloaded from filefront.

what was totally bizarre is that me and my brother could install from the file perfectly fine, we run winxp.

he ran vista and his file kept saying corrupt.

so he booted into winxp, used the exact same file and had NO issues??

very weird.

but when in doubt, use the torrent files as they are guaranteed not to be corrupt.

I think what can happen is ... is if you have a bad connection, it is possible for packets to be dropped on an FTP connection, there is no error checking going on ... however on torrents there is a constant checking going on, and bad data is dropped and redownloaded.

thanks a lot im downloading the core files AGAIN.....but its worth it everyone says.

That is so messed up I downloaded from filefront and the "kozelsk" map was corrupt
Im on Vista also
