I think it looks really cartoonish tbh, but maybe that's just me.

Looks cool nonetheless :)

damn thous UVs are really bad :p
shows how much PR has improved since our early days hehe.

Anyway onto your texture, I'm not much of a texture artist so I can't give you much feedback on technique but right now your problem is you mostly have flat colours with no real dirt, grit and veration on them. I know its hard with a car paint job since they paint them flat colours but you can still do much more with that then a texture. It needs to look like painted metal with a glossy finish etc :D

Its a good start anyways but ye, texturing is more about than putting colours onto a model, you need to some how make the surface come alive :D

Ok let me try to give you a little feed back (I am a REALLY good A-hole:mrgreen :)

Use a little lighter black and a grayer white to start with; because the colors will have been faded from the factory.

Add high lights and shadows: Add depth with the dodge and burn tools along where there are ridges and valleys on the real life vehicle.

Make her a dirty girl: you need some weather (mostly along the hood section and also on the panels behind the wheels) some dirt maybe even some chips 8)

Oh and also use a noise filter to grunge it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have a good base though so keep at it.

pretty good start, it looks cartoonish because of the bright colors imo, try a "grey" white? :)

EDIT: WRT the skin. Yes the colors are too solid like Rhino already pointed out. Play around with the brush settings and create some custom dirt brushes and then scratch brushes. You might also want to add more details at the edges like darker color and so on to create the feel of depth.

Maybe change the number to 187? Or find the code to nude jaywalking and put that as the number?

Will there be working lights? or lights for show?

I like it, good work, its too bad the bf2 engine can't have people hanging on sides of cars because handrails on the top, with a small platform to stand on the side as it is driving would be cool.

Nice work though, very cool.

I am a sprayer and yes no whites on vehicles is pure white .... one customer wanted his bike painted in pure white.....one week later he wanted it redone as it just looked horrible!

So make the white a bit 'dirty' (sprayers term).

Greta otherwise love to see it in the bank raid at fallujah!

Tinted windos, Dirt, maybe some Bird Poo. Base is good. Time for detail.
