Let everyone see who is injured

I know you'll cough ingame etc, but if aint on mumble its very hard to get a quick first aid from a nearby friend while you wait for the medic.
And its difficult for SLs to know when its ok to move, since the medic would have to report it, when IRL you can see if there's an injury.
So I would suggest that, if its possible. A small red dot appears next to the name of any teammate that is wounded. in as if you can see the injury. The medic can still see the healthbar that he sees now.
but only the medic would see the healthbar, since it would clutter the hud and ruin the immersion if everyone could see it.
Just so we can know just by looking who is hurt and who is not.

This would be great, though I rarely squad lead anymore it was always a bother to try and get a good grasp of overall squad health without yelling at the medic and interrupting him from doing his job. Though this seems like one of those great ideas thats going to be hardcoded. If possible I say go for it. Great idea Rudd.

Meh, I'm not really fond of adding more to the HUD, TBH. Though I like the suggestion, I find it can just as easily get communicated via Voip. Then again, while only mumble allows you to easily identify the location of a player by the sound of their voice, I don't think PR should be planning around mumble not being included.
If mumble will be ready for 0.9 for every pubber, then I don't see why it should still be planned as if mumble wasn't included. That's really my only quelm, though I understand it's a good suggestion at heart, so to speak. Though I wouldn't mind it being implemented like name tags, where you have to be very close or looking at the player for a while before it shows up.

yeah. i was gonna post saying that but i was too lazy to quote lol.
I would like this cause it would also help when people are not in your squad you can lend them a bandage cause most of the time unless your on US or GB you have no idea they need a medic when they are a riflemen cause i dont know the language.

would be cool if the skin could get bloodier the less health you have, but it would be nice to see people who are bleeding out so you can try to patch them. Allot of people have comm rose muted due to spamming. +1

A medic should be able to help the whole team, not only his own squad. And I often see people shoot at friendly medics because the medic didn't realize that there's a wounded blue guy from outside his squad. So I agree with the suggestion.

Use "need medic" on the comm rose?

Maybe use VOIP/mumble and ask?

I'm not saying it's a bad idea but isn't there already a white circle with red cross above the nickname when someone calls for a medic via comm rose? I'm not sure if it's visible for all team mates but I guess making it visible for all team mates would be a lot easier then adding new symbol to the hud...

you only see it as a medic
a small red dot or similar symbol would be less intrusive
Maybe use VOIP/mumble and ask?
how about you read?

What gives me the shit's when im playing medic, IS a wounded player can only call to me twice and then i have to find him the hard way, so then i have to spend like 2 minutes trying to find there body so i can revive them.
you should be able to call for a medic as much as you want. i mean realistically would a wounded solder be silent, no they would be screaming there lungs. So it not really realistic any way that you can only call for a medic twice.
And there undoubtable going to be some smart arse who will say go on mumble and use it instead/ well you try getting a whole team to go on mumble.

I don't see how this fits in with a realistic style of play.
Your squad has been shot at. This should be a big thing - it should not be followed by an order of "Quick, let's run over there".
The orders of 'Find cover, I want rounds on *this* location, watch your spacing' can be carried out irregardless of the health status of a member of your squad - if your squad are doing as ordered, he can be patched up with no trouble.
I understand the frustration of issuing a move order, only to see two people huddled at the location it was first issued, but I feel that's indicative of an arcade and rushed style of play. The man has just been shot. Treat him like it. Don't just rush off to your objective in a gamey fasion.

ingame if som1 is hurt they are less combat effective
IRL if som1 is hurt it is obvious by the ensuing red stuff, and the plan changes to accomodate that fact
my strategy has always been, only move with the wounded if there isn't much of a choice, but thats personal taste.

I 100% agree with that. For clarification of the quote:
You're ordering to find cover or get down. The injured player can do this. You're ordering fire on a specific location. The injured player may or may not be able to do this - either way, the aggressors can be pinned by the rest of the squad, and your medic can tend to the wounded man.
I didn't imply moving the wounded, if you reread my post, I made it clear it was imperative not to.
In short - people get injured by being shot. The most tactically favourable SL decisions after the squad has taken any fire whatsoever, whether it hit its mark or not, can take place regardless of injured players.
Of course, this chain of argument ignores several other points, for example: HUD is always clear, injuries in real life aren't always clear, sometimes even to those injured. HUD shows up in the dark, and through walls. People's injuries don't.
In my oppinion, the benifits do not out weigh the further HUD'age, HUD'age of any form, of course, being fundamentally unrealistic.

Rudd , you have a serious addiction towards Little dots on the screen. Good idea.
