Crouch cover

I dont know if it was allready sugested (Checked *** and searched)
So Chucs weapon stances got me thinking, when you crouch, your head is still poking over the wall (so it should be because you're aiming your gun over it), but when unaimed and keeping still while being crouched, there could be even lower position if you know what i mean. Like in AA3, if you dont have tactical stance on, when you crouch you are lower, when you bring your sights up, you place your gun over the wall and aim (currently in PR), when you move about in crouch, same animation would be applied as now.
Couldnt get any pictures, but i believe you get the idea.

my guess this wont work, because bringing up sights don't change your stance and bullets always come from the centre of the screen

this would be very nice, but i don't know if the players hitboxes change when taking aim. (ie. a trigger that switches the hitbox)
if there is a change (or at least a trigger), then one would have to switch the animations and hitboxes.
if there isn't a change in the hitbox, then I imagine the change would be cosmetic at best.

more like red orchestra, where when you scope in when crouched, you raise yourself up a few inches, i was going to suggest this yesterday! wierd

Well, they have the camera move around and the body changes position how ever they want it to so think it should be quite possible.

Any devs take a look at this?

it seems to me that the camera placement isn't the big problem. the problem is that hitboxes and animation that have to be changed.

I stole the picture from manother thread on here, but its the perfect example of what im thinking about.
The m14 guy, hes not aiming, therefore he's in cover.
But there is a slight disadvantage, you can see only limited ground whhole aiming with scopes...

sooo you want your head to be down and for you to put your head up when you right click?
maybe resuggestion:
you have you head ducked down when in crouch but lets say you must have to hold down right click so you can imnplement sometihng else which i will now explain, when in a war situation are you relly going to spend time bringing your gun up and down in a fight ,Duh no your going to pop your head up quickly to look around now if we just click the righmouse button once there could be an animation for this and we get a veiw of what ahead?(if possible) but if we hold for more than 2-3secs then we bring our gun up of course there will ahve to be a delay for this to happen

Its more of a necro, but i found a "solution" myself today.
Uncrouched, firing position

Crouched cover position (best when still), body doesnt pop over, gear may, but that doesnt hurt you. I've also checked the hitbox, shooting above his back and above his head didnt hurt him.

So the solution is actually ingame from the beginning
