[VID] New appreciation for Korengal Valley

Here is a video that is not Korengal Valley, but will show you the type of appreciation you should get from playing a great map like Korengal Valley. Some people talk too much smack about being hit at the US base and outpost as completely unfair. Well... Heres something for those people.

Seriously Korengal is my #1 favourite map, the variation in the scenery is very nice. And yeah it feels really epic playing too, especially with the (former?) fake A-10 around (I haven't heard it for a while...)

Also look at that thing to close the door at 9:56, with the bottle filled with sand. That is an awesome idea.

Skater, thats definitely not an a10 flying when you hear that plane in that game. A10 do not have that type of engine, it sounds very turbine like. That sound, sounds like a JET engine going full speed, maybe in afterburner, so it could be anything from the hornet to a f15.

To be honest, that sound now ticks me off... it loops much too often, and disturbs me when im hunting for wabbits.

Of course in RL it's not 32v32, and the US can't normally just come out of a big main base 1 mile away.

Here is another, really good, Video. (working) This is Danish troops fighting in the Helmand province, and it gives a good image of how the battles are fought. Looks quite a lot like PR. (that was a pad on the shoulders Devs ;) )

LiveLeak.com - New footage of Danish soldiers raid on a Taliban stronghold in Afghanistan.

I don't think that guy was acting unprofessional , hes just frustrated of not being anything, and thats the top brass' fault.

Thats a whole other 'hint hint'

I have a question though.

Why dont they set up an ambush point at night near the area where those taliban are attacking. I know they dont know their exact positions, but a rough estimate would give them a good start, once the fight breaks out, the US could potentially gain some ground by hitting them back lethally.

That or get a sniper with spotter to set up on a nearby hill and fire back, as they say the night before, in the cover of darkness, and just wait there till the next day till it all erupts again.

FUCKING LOVE the battle round outpost on Korengal sometimes in PR, when the US have a firebase in there and the Taliban want to get in. They almost never do because the Americans have such superior weaponry, often for equal numbers, but I rarely see anything more intense than 10 Americans defending the base against 20 Taliban all trying to swarm the front entrance.

What I want in PR is more places like that, where you actually get regular big firefights in a small area. Sometimes it feels like little squad on squad skirmishes are all you ever fight.

Yeah, fighting around outpost is fun, but it is counterproductive if you want to win the round as US. Even how many talibans you shoot you still just needs to die once to make it a stupid decision to be there. The, prize, the stryker is not very good on this map anyway.

Make the outpost important for both teams please! I know there are some changes coming in the next version and I cant wait!

Interesting video! Didnt see that before. Im curious tho! It looks like they are all using M4's? Marines in PR have m16s?

Love the end with the incoming mortar rounds you hear one guy go: I fucking hate mortars! :P Just like those movies where they ***** and complain while they are under fire :P
