I was wondering if people have had the wits and guts to try skydiving in pr.
im not talking about the abandon jet to avoid getting hit by AA - type of skydiving, im talking about the "real deal".. in pr ofc.

for a couple of dozen times i have made a skydiving squad in the largest training servers. What most people dont think of is the level of excitement you get when a full squad gets in a chopper and starts heading up, up, up and up. Some have genuine rushes of adrenalin even though its a game, but the feeling of getting higher and the anticipation for the jump, is pretty nice even though its still a game. i usualy drop the group at 2000 meters and that gives the group a nice feel of skydiving. Most people really enjoy it!
i think jumping alone in a plane might be a bit booring, so if intrested, take someone with you on a two-seater plane.

Having experienced both real skydiving and pr-diving i'd say they both give me the kicks!

i pretty regularly have my squad jump in with parachutes on barracuda if we have no spawns on the island and there is alot of aa up.
if you know where a crate is, you can all get pilot kits and go high up. from there jump and get the the crate and request some new kits.
my only problem is that i cannot request an iron sights officer from the crate

Have you tried sky diving in ArmA2? I suspect you'd like it.

Sky diving over Asad Khal is great fun

Occasionally getting flinged for fun, or when I grab the wrong kit again I go for a jump

Yes I did from 4000 meters pretty funny.

I was really impressed when Sadist_Cain showed me how much control you have over the skydiver. I mean, the BF2 Dice team left out all these cools things, but included realistic SkyDiving Controls

But after that one time, thats enough for me. Doesnt do it for me

I kinda miss the 1942 and Vietnam style of "shitting in the pants"-sound when doing long freefalls.
Can this be added to PR?

An incredibly loud scream, increasing to ear-splitting volume as you approach the ground, definitely sounds good.

I've never tried it in PR, although I have about 15 jumps to my name in RL (A lisence at 25!). Can you actually move around and do formations and stuff while falling? or do you just fall?

You can move around, and go slower / faster depending on which way you have your camera turned.

Also, me and my friend got in the 2 seater jet on a training server, and flew up to 9000m and jumped. It's about a 3 or so minute complete free fall jump. When you are falling its really cool seeing your friend flying below and above you, changing his speed and direction. Skydiving is probably the most under-utilized but most awesome aspects of the BF2 engine.

You can steer anywhere except upwards using the mouse, because when you look anywhere above the horizon the game will handle it just as though you look straight forwards. The rest is just trigonometry. Oh and here's my vid: YouTube - BF2 tutorial: Skydiving

Closest I ever got to skydiving in PR is when I was on top of a hotel and I ran out of ammo and was bleeding. I saw a US guy below me so I jumped off the building and landed on him killing him.

That's a very cool video indeed.

I changed the height of Dunes fly command on our server and took 6 of us up to 100,000. It took 45minutes to get back down
