Hey guys.

I'm trying to get PR to work on one of my computers. I don't have enough room for it on the C drive, so I am using an external drive.

But I need to get the 1.41 patch onto BF 2. BF2 installed smoothly onto the external drive, but every time I try to use the 1.41 patch, it can't find BF2. The error message looks something like "Install Folder Not Found" -- which means that the patch can't find BF.

My OS is Windows 7.

How suggestions? Help?

(Yes, I did use SEARCH.)

Check that your installdir is correct for BF2.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2
Check the InstallDir entry reflects the correct installation directory.

My guess is when your External HD was plugged in before it had a different drive letter.

Moral of this story: install on the C drive.

Make sure you take proper precautions when modifying your registry. If you break something, i'm not responsible.
