Hey guys,
I was working at a "Transport Helicopter HowTo" and I am done with it. So here is the result of my work. I don't know where to post it so I decided to post it here feel free to move it. And maybe you are able to fix it or make it steady up.

There might be some spelling mistakes, sorry about that.

pretty good. Some spelling mistakes.A good tip is if you are flying and need the map hit "M" brings up the map and you can fly the chopper fine with it out.

Also this is good if you turn the map transparency to around 30-40%. Then you can see and view your map

Good tip. Never gone that low yet, Ill have to try it.

^ It depends whether you can take the compromise of not being able to see the terrain well on the map. Keep the transparency for the squad indicators up at normal.

thanks, but i don't know how to chnage transparency can't find the settings in pr menu. then i tried to change the transparency in the original bf2 menu. does work for bf2 but not for pr. so how do you changed it?

Hmm.. My bad. Couldn't find them either, haha. I don't know how I managed it then, but my map is rather transparent!

Can changing options in vanilla affect PR? Like resolution and such? Maybe thats it.

They removed it so you cannot control the transparency. But on default a little transparent

Like I said, I also changed the transparency in vanilla. worked in vanilla but not for pr. so give me a call how to do it and I'll edit the file. Otherwise its helpfull but not "that" important in my eyes. ??:

I still recognise there are a lot of "pilots" out there not knowing what they do. So i hope some forum-manager are willing to make this thread sticky and maybe that way we can get some more skilled pilots. that would be cool.

Love being transport pilot. In fact everything that has to do with transporting/supply is a rewarding thing to do in PR imo

Nice work.

as a heli pilot I fly with a joystick. I set the HAT switch to left for map. Up zoom in and down zoom out. Good for flying to markers and zooming in to drop the troops or supplies right where there needed. If flying on mouse (although i dont) and you have the extra buttons on the side of the mouse then set them to the map zoom in/out for the heli setting once you get the hang of it they help alot with getting right on the mark..

@orford: nice point. never tought about the zoom ("n"-key) on the 4th mousebutton but i think i will have a try. could help.

some guy told me he made a video about proper helicopter insertion and extraction procedures so here it is.
