When I want to exit the game it always takes a long time and its going very slow. I dont have this with other games. I have format my pc a couple of days ago so thats not the problem. Has anyone else this problem? or does anyone know why I have this? maybe its because I dont have a very good pc but I dont have it with any other game.

Alt+F4, it's not just for fastropes.

I do laugh that exiting conventionally is slower and pisses your computer off more than intentionally crashing hte game

yeah i know, the fastest way actually is a CTD. in ANY game.
on my slow lappy, I was playing assassins creed. When I exit the game, it takes my laptop forever to do ANYTHING afterwards. when i get a ctd, windows runs perfectly.

Alt-f4 gives instant desktop action, if that doesn't do the trick for you ALT+ctrl+del, find bf2.exe in processes, right click, end process tree.

Has anyone else here ever tried to exit normally, then have it take so long punkbuster heartbeats stop and kicks you? XD

I always just use alt + f4. Works great

Oh yeah, I know that. The PC doesn't do anything for minutes. It's a bit faster with Alt+F4, it seems indeed.

I think I'm the only one that exits BF2 normally and doesn't complain about the time it takes.

Doesn't take that long does it? Maybe 10 seconds. What are you going to do in those shaved 10 seconds?
