I think that it will be much more realistic if you make the grenades spinning in the air on on the ground PLEASE TRY or it is again the stupid bf2 engine

make the grenades spinning in the air on on the ground
oh yea, that will look real nice on the change logs
what would this do to improve Game play?
what would this do to improve Realism?
what would this do to improve immersion?
what the hell is this suggestion!??!
seriously, what have you contributed in the form of text in these forums?
threads called 'Hurry up with the release!!!one!!!', 'Fastropes pl0x!!!', 'add a old now replaced IRL and in PR gun cause it looks cool!' and 'give marksmen grapple hooks cause its realistic'
you should
1. do a modicum of research
2. Search the forums for re suggestion
3. Write in coherent and intelligent english
4. Consider if your suggestion would be worth the time and effort for the devs to add in game
5. Make certain that your suggestion is not wasting the time of the everyone reading it

I thought thrown objects automatically spun but to be honest I never looked for it.

I don't think it would make a difference can you honestly pay attention to a grenade flying threw the air and see it spinning? and if it landed on the ground it wouldn't necessarily roll on the ground maybe if it was smoothly paved street with a slope, the only reason I could think of this being useful would be if there was some kind of underhand roll that u can do with grenades but there isn't.

Why not, just change the frag grenades name to "Gravitational Acceleration Grenade" and you have a winner!

Had many grenades thrown at you in real life then? I'll tell you one thing; if you're stupid enough to sit there and see if it's spinning then you're already dead.

Seriously, this idea seems like a minor visual upgrade that most people would not notice. And i don't think its worth it
Realisticly:
Hand grenade fuze with self-induced spin for arming - Patent 4167905
Bt just no allright?

"And yet it moves"
At least in Holywood.
Just before the hero throws it back (transformed into a mini-nuke) or unscrews grenade's head.
If its not hardcoded it could be realistic and cool ... right?

Wait, that has nothing to do with the suggestion though. It seems to be much more of an aesthetic one, though I personally haven't paid much attention to it. I don't know whether or not they actually do spin or not, but it would be a nice aesthetic touch if it's included.
Otherwise I don't see how LeadMagnet's comment actually relates to the suggestion. I don't think anyone's had the chance to see a grenade being thrown at them, but it doesn't detract from the fact that if you throw any object it's not going to remain static in position during it's flight.

Somebody doesn't watch enough SciFi/Star Trek

I dont know anyone who actually looks at the grenade when they have thrown it.. This suggestion is just a waste of time to even think of.

who even has time to look at a nade or been close enough while its flying in mid-air? Theres no need to make a nade spin.....waste of time......

HellDuke wrote:Ah, but it has everything to do with the suggestion. That's the point. It's an aesthetic suggestion and one that will not be noticed at that. How many players are going to stand arround to look at a spinning grenade? "They worked so hard to put this in... I'll get killed just to watch and admire it, so it doesn't go to waste".
My point is: why put in something just for looks if no one will even really look at it?
The grenade isn't only seen by the person on the receiving end, though.
The point is: if it's possible to implement it, why not? It (evidently) has gone noticed, and if it's an easy change then why not?
If however it's deemed to be hard to implement or code, then the point that was raised has value, but not beforehand.

Many of you need to watch your responses to suggestions... how about a little courtesy?
I, too, have noticed they dont spin when I throw them. Was I terribly upset? No. But if it was an easy thing to do, heck, it couldnt hurt...

Come on Okita -- we all know that rep on the PR forums is (Post count*Rudeness/time since membership).
Yes, if this was something simple to do, it wouldn't hurt to include -- might make throwing the RKG-3 more intuitive?

So what... you knock the guy out with the spinning handle, it falls at his feet then BOOM.
Genius.
