Misc Enhancements for PRMM...

-) Bring back the muzzle flashes for most weapons... I would like to know the reason why your team has removed them from the game?
-) Add a 3 Steps Health indicator to the Hud... green = Health OK, Orange = poor (loosing blood), Red = almost dead
-) Add a grafik to displayed bulletcount for magazine like this:

O
| O| = this means 3 Bullets left in magazine
O
----
lol, ok, not really exactly like this, but i'm pretty sure you know what i mean
And the Most important(!):
-) enhance the environment firing sounds!
What exactly has your team done with the firing sounds? The First Person shooting sounds are OK, but the environment shooting sounds from other players are terrible! "paff" "paff". In the original BF2 they listen OK.
It's really impossible to identify how far away or from which position someone's shooting, cause the shootingsounds have all the same volume and sounding exactly the same, even if they use different weapons.
Well, at least: PRMM is a great mod and so much better than the standard arcade "lameplay" from BF2. Thanks for it and excuse my bad english cause i'm from austria.
greetings

You don't get a muzzle-flash with every single round. We will probably be randomizing them, if we can.

Yeah, nice idea about the rounds too but I don't think most (if any) of the guns have a nice gauge/HUD to show the bullet/ammo count.
I just stick to my trick I got off Bravo-Two-Zero, Stuff counting how many you have left, fire until the clip is emptied.

Andy McNab is hated by his old regiment and is effectively outcast. His cavalier writing and complete lack of ethics when it comes to changing facts is appalling - anything you read in his books, doubt it.

Yes I realise all you say about him, has been heard alot of times, there are two sides to every story, Chris Ryan seems to be pumping that McNabbs side is false and his is true.

They both exploit the truth for their own ends - they are both complete dicks

So you would deny that anything of the sort described in both books is true?

Some stuff is true (the operation took place etc) but the SAS, SBS, SFSG and regiments of any quality count every shot - and the SAS especially, single shot or double tab is used throughout so counting is simple. An elite regiment NEVER fires through a clip without knowing about it

Read the book 'The Real Bravo Two Zero', it may help explain some things (I'm pretty sure thats the title).

Ye thats the title, written by a guy called Asher
Still don't believe everything you read but if you HAVE to read something about B20 read Asher's account/reenactment

I'm sure I will after my exams, I'm sure I will.
I suppose not counting the ammo expanded is not the wisest idea but meh, w/e.

hmm, i don't know much details about americas weaponry, but i know that manny weapons using transparent magazines or the magazines have slots/holes on the backside to check how much bullets are left in the magazine.

I made a thread about this when I was new here too.
It's only really the Steyr Aug and the HK G36 that uses transparent mags a standard, the rifles of BF2 all don't have this feature a standard. Pistols have the little holes in their magazines to check for ammo, but most rifles don't. Best way is just to count.

Was there radio recordings? I guess that we may never know the complete truth wrote:You don't get a muzzle-flash with every single round. We will probably be randomizing them, if we can.
If you cant randomise it, just lessen the flash, keeping it out is a bit far.

DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO READ B2Z WITHOUT ANY SPOILERS
I think three were killed, Vince, 'Legs' and Bob, (ficticious names I would think).
Chris escaped after apparently covering 300km to make it into Iran.
The other three were captured and treated' un-fairly' to say the least.

Ryan is very critical of McNab throughout his writing - this lead to McNab reediting etc.
Ryan escaped to Syria not Iran
And yes 3 men died. And they are real names, dead SAS do not often use pseudonims, they are merely marked down as having died in their original regiment
The men who died (much respect to them) were:
Bob Consiglio
Steve Lane (Legs)
Vincent Phillips

Yes, I should have respect to them, silly me. And I remember seeing the photo of Vinces grave, what blind fool I am.
I think that Ryan and McNabb are two very different characters, with McNabb willing to participate, though under very cautious situations and Ryan will do just about anything on military shows. E.g. "Ultimate Force"

They are both idiots who broke serious in-regiment rules about talking to the public/press about past operations.
