Now I have seen many, many people say PR lags them to death yet I have 15 FPS and I frequently get highest score via kills, squad leading, or playing medic.

I have come up with a philosophy which can apply to any aspect in your life. It contradicts the "Aim for the stars" thing but it works for me. It is, "Aim Low, Achieve High, Great satisfaction".

It's basically saying that if you expect bad things, average things will amaze you, and you will do great.
Ex.
W/O Philosophy: You expect 60+ FPS on all games you play. You get PR and your FPS drops 20 but stays above 40. You say, "What the F**K, This game is laggy as sh**.

With: You expect 15 FPS on games. You download PR and you get 25 Frames. This is higher than you have gotten on any EA made game. You are happy and proceed to kill with satisfaction.

Now some of that might be an exaggeration but you get the point.
So for those of you that lag, if you follow this you can do well with "low FPS".

Plus, it applys to life aswell.

You can't make yourself expect anything lower than you really do. It is something i once tried, but it didn't really help. The best thing to do if you lag is chance your graphic settings and check your internet connection. Trust me, i do have some experience with that

The only time I've really ever used lag as an excuse has been on Fools Road being a squad member fighting in the forest.

I could aim low, but even then my dismal 5 FPS has killed me time and again. It's soooooooo bad.

But every other game I play I usually average around 15-40 FPS, so it's a very dynamic environment for me. Most new maps I'm not quite evenly matched with other players, but the difference isn't big enough in those cases to make me create excuses, it only entices me to want a better computer

Oh well, at least it gives me an excuse to command, seeing as stepping out of the command post andinto the action is usually suicide

Aye, the real problem is connectivity lag.

Haha I have this weird thing that most of the time I die, I lag exactly before when I die. When I play PR I always try to die as minimal times as possible and when I do die, I lock up for a good 3 seconds. So it is double wammy of pain as I literally scream to myself 'AHHG I'm lagging!!!, AAAHHHHHGGG I died!!!!!

Sometimes I lock up at random times and I've already associated death with lagging; every time I lock up but but really didn't die, I'm always thinking " dont die dont die dont die FIX FIX FIX!!!

Vista Anti Lag is a good program...

Still, if I fly, lag WILL get me eventually. Wireless sucks.

It always gets you when you least expect it. And when you do expect it, it gets you anyway. And it LOVES appearing whenever you're driver, pilot or an enemy appears right in front of you.

Just low FPS isn't that much of a problem.

So yeah, don't use wireless when you can.

It seems like the whole "Lower expectations = everything seems better" only works when you genuinely have low expectations. You can't really instantly make yourself expect something less than what you really do, in my experience, anyway.

My remedy for laggy maps? Viewing scale: 50%.

Yes it sucks when you got good snipers on the other team, but on insurgency, Anyways, you're suposed to engage the enemy at 100m or less, 90% of the time.

Youll notice a great increase in game "sharpness". Other then that, the usual low video details.

Expect your enemy to be better equipped and skilled then you are, and prepare accordingly.

Expect others to be just as competant and even more then you, and discipline your self enough to fight that.

Instead of aiming low, aim for finishing what you need to do then exceed that standard.

If something does not go your way, do not complain and take steps to fix it.

You can also download FPS+ which will display a text string that says "120 FPS" on your screen. You can just believe this text string is true.

i put a wire in my laptops *** and now have 45 fps max, i also use gamebooster but i still get like 110-200+ ping. do you guys have some usefull software?
btw i already put my settings to low

i found that running everything on low actually makes PR lag more. I play with geoms and terrain on high everything else is on low or off if it can be off. i play PR with an FPS of <20 thats how much my computer sucks... yet i manage fine haha.

ya, the only time i call lagg is when i really had a lag spike, as in, my game froze, my fps still stayed high.. but my screen froze, and my helo plummets into the ocean...

and something fun to do, if you have a low fps, like 15-40 on average on pr, go fly on a local server with no lagg... and you will be amazed how hard it is to adjust to no lag (llow fps) flying.. i mean really.. it is harder to fly with no lag (high fps) then the lag(low fps)....

so i am a better pilot while i have low fps then with high fps.......



i have only died in helos becuase of lagg... other vheicals (spell check wont fix for me <-- that word...)i have had lagg...but nothing i blame my death on for lag..
