Hello again tech gnomes!

For reasons involving several cases of Heineken and some interesting agreements I would rather not discuss I have come into possession of a large amount of money.

I have been upgrading my computer willy-nilly recently but the audio side seems to be lacking somewhat, I have the on-board sound from my Asus P5Q pro and some Advent ADE-210CS £30 speakers with sub woofer. I was considering upgrading my speakers to some very shiny new Logitech Z-5500s. I was wondering if it would really be worth investing in a new sound card, perhaps the Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro?

Any suggestions are welcome, my budget is flexible, but I was aiming for less than £350.

If you look at my thread in here, you'll see it's what I'm getting for my new rig. There's always been a big gap between "the gamer" and "the audiophile", but Auzentech are clearly trying their best to bridge that gap with the Prelude.

Most reviews I've found in it contain qualms about missing features, I presume since these reviews are around 2 years old that the features have been added. It sure looks like a good card but it's quite a bit more expensive than the creative one, and the reviews seem less good.

Also I can't find anywhere that stocks it.

As your budget was a high number, we obviously thought that you wanted to pay for a decent card.

Whenever looking into anything for a PC, never look at reviews of it from 2 years ago, as they are always going to be bad.

Can't find any more recent reviews I'm afraid. I think I may order the speakers now and work on finding somewhere to get that card from. You guys think the speakers are good, right?

Those speakers are pretty phat to be honest, very good for gaming, and have a very very good system for audio too.

Well that seems to settle it, now all I need to do is find somewhere that stocks the damn thing.

Well I still can't find anywhere to buy that card, so I might just go back and get the Creative one.
