Hey guys,
Im using Win7, but I had that problem on Win XP as well.
My VOIP is dieing after 2 Mapchanges. Why is that? Its regulary and reproducable. After it died I have too wait a few hours before it works again. Restarting computer and games doesnt help. Tempratures are all normal, Soundcard isnt broken. Any1 has this too or can give me a solution to it? Its really a hard bug... It makes the game unplayable. Please help me

Please post your systems specs (MoBo, GFX, Audio, generally hardware)
and please define "dieing"... no incoming voip, no outgoing voip, or both, no icons are coming up, one squad member seems to constantly transmit, although you dont hear anything... which is it - be more descriptive
when you are talking (pressing voip button) when the map ends - the mic will stay open
as a side effect you will not be able to transmit anymore on the next map
this is easy to spot as there wont be the speaker symbol anymore, when you press your voip button
and also easy to fix: hold TAB-key and click on the "Manage" tab of the score board - then while pressing the voip button click on the speaker icon next to your name - this will cross it out, then click it again and your should be able to see the icon again and ppl will hear you again

EVGA 680i SLI
Palit Sonic 260GTX
Patriot Ram 4GB
XFI-Extreme Music
dieing = I cant hear anyone, BUT they can hear me. When they speak there is NO icon on the side, which is showing their name.

Go to Start > Run > DXDIAG
Switch to Sound tab then turn the sound accelerator to basic and then it should work.

I had this problem before on my old Desktop and it drove me crazy , it was so random so i couldnt really know when to restart the game , just do a fresh new installation for PR .. make sure you restart after the uninstallation and apply everything from scratch ! that should do the trick buddy ..

Windows 7 doesnt have siund acceleration or at least I cant find it in the dxdiag windows. I could find it there on XP though.
Reinstalling wont help too. I already tried it + I installed bf2 and PR on a clean Win7 so its like a clean install.

Thx for your help. But I still dont think its a Windows prob. i will PM him though
WinXP had/has the same prob and I just tried changing drivers from YouPax to Creative. No Help.
VOIP is working for the first Map loaded after game start. The following maps VOIP wont work.
I will try to delete my local profile data. maybe an error is hiding in there. (i copy pasted my profiles so I dont need to change anything.)

Yer, Id say delete your profiles in my docs and then reset you profile in vanilla, not PR.
That may cure it. Also, what is your mic running through? XFI or Onboard?

xfi. i let everything run through xfi.
but I can transmit so mic shouldnt be the prob. i cant recieve....
/edit: just reset. made all settings in vanilla, joined a server. played 5min and then switched back to pr. same. voip bug still there. it drives me crazy xD
in the past it was only for like 1 or 2 days.. now its for 1 week

Trust me, it can be to do with your mic. Xfi and voip are nasty combinations sometimes.
Try running your mic through your onboard, then set your onboard mic as default communications device.
Go back into game and It should of sorted your voip issue out.
I realise its incombing that is bugged, but your mic running through Xfi can be buggy.

Or try this:
Not able to use VoIP?
In game
Did you try pressing tab, right click to activate mouse and click manage, then mute and unmute yourself? That seems to work most of the time.
Good luck

Will try letting my mic run through onboard, though im not sure how to do it... I installed the latest Realtek drivers but in the soundtab I can only select Microphone Creaive Xfi and not the onboard one...
/edit: lol my fault ^^ I forgot to plug in the red thing into the mainboard and not into the soudncard
